Was a comfort to know whoever we hired had been checked out and we could see reviews on their site. We needed someone on short notice, and they gave us many choices. The young lady we hired was great. She came to meet and greet us and our fur babies before the actual sitter date. She left us notes and took pictures while she was her, Only negative was the varied costs. Apparently, each sitter sets their own costs. Some of them seemed like they wanted too much money for the short time we needed them to be here.

I was able to scroll through the multiple listings with ease and found Jonathan who took excellent care of my feline crew while I was on vacation. The only issue I had was when I went to review Jonathan and provide tipping.

Meet & greet helps me know where my voy will be staying and know his environment when I am not with him. I love when the home sends me pictures of him. And if the person cannot watch him there are usually other options to choose from.

Rover is great app for finding local dog sitters. Easy to setup a Meet & Greet ahead of the sitting to meet the sitter face to face and ensure its a good fit. Can be difficult to find sitters for more remote neighborhoods, but with enough notice, that can be worked around.

All except one Rover has been absolutely astounding. They really care about my pets and spend the required 30 minutes which my pets need. Shelley has been the best ever. She spends time with my boys and interacts with them in a very personal level. One Rover I used was a complete disappointment. She only stayed 5 minutes at most and even sent her husband a couple times. I ended up cleaning up pee and my dogs weren’t very happy. That’s why only 4 stars. I’m very pleased with all the others. Especially Shelley. She is awesome. 😎

To be honest, This is expensive website to take care of my dogs especially if you need 2 0r 3 weeks plus 10% charge from rover and tips. No wonder the dog shelter is crowded, i guess people cannot afford to take care their dogs especially if you want to travel. Sometimes, you will be lucky if you find a sitter who can give you a good price to take care of the dog.

I've had mixed experiences with the people and Rover app. One of my two care providers was great and one made two important mistakes. I like how easy it is to use the app to find a provider, but I don't like getting an email for every single time the providers and I send a message to each other as well as on my text. It's way too much. Plus REQUIRING SO much detail about their care on the app was also too much when I met with my people and already told them what they needed to know to care for my cats in person. However, I really appreciate the resource for finding reliable care providers.
