Fees make this service almost out of reach.
Charging both the sitter and the dog family a fee makes it pretty expensive to use this service.

I am using the app on my iPhone
I am using the app on my iPhone. The app is not user friendly. It is too confusing. After I got it figured out, the per sitter I hired is great. I will use your services again, just wish your app was better.

Communication. 800 number would be nice !!
My only problem with Rover is there is no way to contact a live person. The computer cannot answer all my questions. I recently canceled with my sitter because my father passed away. I did not realize that l had to cancel on the app also. Not only did my father die but l got a bill from Rover for $802 That really sucked !

Tip issue
Was not allowed to give the tip I wanted. Would only allow a max of 30%. I feel the owner has the right to tip what they want.

I like the bios and pics of the sitters…
I like the bios and pics of the sitters along with their previous reviews. I dislike the app as it’s not very smooth or user friendly. Overall a fab service but fees are quite steep.

Onerous cancellation fee.
The platform is cumbersome to navigate. Recently when needing to cancel part of a reservation, I was charged $109 for a cancellation fee. Totally unreasonable.

Hi Pamela. Thank you for your feedback regarding the cancellation fee you received. Half of the booking cost is retained by the sitter per their cancellation policy. Each sitter sets their own cancellation policy, and these policies help to ensure the sitter is able to conduct their business even if the booking falls through on short notice. You can think of it similar to a deposit; you would not get a refund for a deposit if you cancelled within the preset time frame set by the appointment, and in this case the same applies for a booking. As the sitter has booked your pet for the time frame decided upon, they are not able to book additional stays and thus require a cancellation fee to offset the cost of the bookings they would not be able to secure. However, should you speak to your sitter and they wish to waive your cancellation fee they are able to reach out to our 24/7 Rover Support team at 888-453-7889.
