Great experience overall — just wish household management was easier
I’ve had a great experience using Rover! After the first few requests, I found some amazing sitters who’ve taken great care of my dog, Mia. Booking is easy, communication is straightforward, and the peace of mind is unmatched. The only thing I’d love to see improved is how households are managed. Right now, only the account holder gets messages, which can be a little tricky when you’re sharing responsibilities. For example, I had to go into work last minute, so my partner was the one dropping Mia off. I had to ask the sitter for their personal number and share ours so they could coordinate directly, which felt like a bit of a workaround. It would be really helpful if there were a way to add a household member or co-owner to a booking so both people can communicate with the sitter directly. Aside from that, I highly recommend the platform!

Find pet care with ease
It’s a bit hit or miss with the sitters you find but the platform itself makes finding a sitter whether at your place or theirs, for dogs, cats or both, easy. The app has some filtering improvements they should implement to improve the search capabilities but overall it’s our go to for when we are away.

While I was able to find a great…
While I was able to find a great sitter,it took an awful lot of effort. Too many people had not updated their available dates and times,others slow to respond.

Pet sitters need to update their availability calendars!
Ultimately found someone to watch the pooch; but several people that were asked were unavailable or calendars were not updated. Slightly frustrating when searching for care, and not getting responses.

Quality App that Supports High Value Pet Sitters
Sitter was top notch and they really value support (insurance, app) provided via Rover. Using the message things in app is sometimes a little roundabout. That is a small thing though A high quality sitter who may not do this work without Rover is a testament to the value of this service. Probably neat sitter I have had in 20 years.

Great app to find a last minute petsitter
Great app to find a last minute pet sitter. Our sitter was very easy going and reliable. Couple suggestions, there should be a section for last minute pet sitters that are available. When looking for one last minute, we found that most of them either don't reply in a timely manner, don't respond, or are unavailable last minute. There should be a section that sitters are available last minute availability. Also, there there should be a tag on the sitters profile that says "responds in a timely manner" a lot of sitters don't respond and leave customers hanging.
