I liked the ease of finding a pet…
I liked the ease of finding a pet sitter via the app at a short notice- What I dislike about the app is the exorbitant fees it charges every time we book. Recommendation- please check your sitters for a dog boarding licence as per UK law.

Actual Booking Charged More than Advertised Price
Rover website indicated $33/day for Doggy Day Care from sitter, when I went to book, price was $50/day not including the $5.50 service fee

App is totally outdated
My pet sitter is awesome. The Rover app is frustrating. I never know if my pet sitter actually got paid. Rover takes the money but I never see the transaction that my sitter got paid. My sitter needed to add a day to my last due to travel interruption. The app sent she and I a message that I denied the modification. This was totally untrue. She was never paid for the extra day due to the app messing this up. My sitter is amazing, but the app is miserably outdated.

I discovered a charge on my credit card…
I discovered a charge on my credit card from Rover that I couldn't identify so needed to find out what it was. Because there's no way to talk to anyone I used the chat feature and eventually ended up with a live person instead of the bot. I explained my issue and was connected to someone who collected my info and started to look into the problem. It was eventually solved but did take about 45 minutes to solve. There was a period when I didn't hear from the CS person for about 30 minutes and I had to ask if she was still there. Overall it took about an hour to resolve the issue which seemed a bit long. Also, I never received confirmation of a second booking that I made with the house sitter, which is the charge that I was questioning. Checking my account I didn't see anywhere where the 2nd booking was listed, but I was charged. A bit frustrating.

Rover charged me twice
Rover charged me twice. Sent me a bill on email several days ahead that I paid. Then night before pet drop off I got a text to "services start tomorrow pay now". So I paid again. When I saw 2x charge I Tried to contact on-line and had only a robot with canned responses. Finally tried and found an email contact. Rover then sent a text to me and sitter that said the sitting contract was "cancelled".. Pretty confusing message that could be misconstrued. Actual sitter was fine.

Site is not user friendly
Site is not user friendly. I had to do my survey twice as I had to keep starting over. Plus I can’t even go back to read my review. My pet sitter was Excellent. I was maybe going to think about being a pet sitter but no, the site is not user friendly. I’ve been trying to read my review on the app & can’t find it. I have no idea if the pet sitter even saw it. I have done a survey w trust pilot & Rover saw my survey & wants me to call them next time I need a sitter. Why can’t I read my own review ?
