no protection for dog sitters
im a dog sitter and i have had dogs who are well trained and some not so much. A pity that they do little screening for pets as some of them can be unfit for dog sitting. They do not care or protect dog sitters too: my proeprty got damaged due to a poorly trained dog and a lying irresponsible owner and i have to cover the cost because rover only covers for pet owners' property which i dont know why since the dogs will be in the dog sitters' house majority of the time. i fear that even if i report this to CS team, they won't chase or do anything about it for me. *dog sitters: you should read the terms and conditions as if we get attacked/injured by an ill-trained dog, rover does not cover that either because they just want more dogs on their platform. i fear that they are purely in it to make the money as they take 12% from dog sitters and 12% from dog owners. they should have a screening test for both parties to ensure a safer and more responsible environment. i have made a substantial amount of money off rover but have also met many dogs who are simply ill-trained and some owners will lie so that u'll accept their dogs and they can go on their holidays. Some dogs are just not worth the time and money.
