Most of the sitters we’ve used on Rover have been fantastic! Definitely no complaints there. The main reasons I don’t give 5 stars are the platform is often challenging to use in terms of finding the kind of sitter I want, and the service fees are rather high. I know the sitters get charged quite a bit as well for using Rover.

I’ve had such a great experience using Rover! The process of finding and booking a sitter was simple and stress-free. Communication was clear from start to finish, and I loved getting regular updates and photos of my pet while I was away — it gave me total peace of mind. My sitter was caring, professional, and truly went above and beyond. I came home to a happy, relaxed pet and will definitely be booking through Rover again. The only disappointment was that, as a first-time user, I didn’t receive the £15 voucher that was advertised. Other than that, everything went smoothly.

Easy booking hard to change the title of bookings

I think the platform worked well. I'm in a smaller market, so wasn't sure. But it was fine. I like that a background check is done prior to approval of a pet sitter. Only drawback so far is getting promotional emails or texts almost daily. Did I miss an opt-out? IDK

I had a great sitter. However the extra rover cost seemed high.

Rover is a good service for finding dogsitters but there are a few kinks. 1) It needs a better system for trying and having new people rated because the same people get to the top of the list which means they also get more jobs. I have had two wonderful sitters, so I am not complaining about the good ones but when I see new availability, my guess is it is hard for a new person to make traction! 2) Its math is off and can cost you bigtime! We went away and changed the pickup time due to our flights being changed. For some reason the app/site saw this as a whole new purchase and charged us a whole new service fee on top of the sitter's daily fee - it cost us almost 3x a daily rate to add an hour!!!!!!
