I am so happy to have found Cheryl through Rover.com, recommended by my pup's vet.

The application works well for identifying sitters and boarding in your area. However, once you have a confirmed reservation it can be a bit challenging to find it later in the app. Once you know where to look, it's easy but it's not intuitive. There's no menu selection that says "my reservations" or similar. You have to go to your inbox. I will say that I had 2 reservations and had to cancel one of them. Process again was not intuitive but once you know where to look, it's there. My money was refunded with no fuss in a couple of days.

Because of some technical difficulty on our part, we had a little trouble communicating with the boarder.

The search function and dog sitter profile information was outstanding and very helpful for choosing a suitable sitter to contact. We had an excellent experience with the sitter we arranged to be with our dogs while we were away. The negative experience was with using the website for ongoing communications. It sometimes said I didn’t have permission to get access when a step was needed to be taken. I also got double messages from our sitter, text and email, when just text was preferred. Payment arrangements and providing a tip that we wanted to do was satisfactory.

I am usually able to find a good sitter

I have used Rover for quite a while and have always been happy with the people that came to take care of my cats. Most importantly, I felt that I could trust them and they have all earned that trust.

as a beginner new to using Rover for the first time. I had some difficulty in understanding what I was seeing and how to get what I wanted. to a novice it could have been a little clearer or user friendly. I appreciate that somebody made such an app there are so many people who love animals and who need sitters. smiles

Isabella was great! She watched my 6 month old Shi Tzu puppy Cookie for about a week. She was very personable and I felt right away that Isabella would take great care of Cookie.
