Too many emails
Finding a walker and completing the appointment went smoothly, but then you continuous get inundated with emails.

Background check: great! App design: not so good…
The fact that everyone who offers service on Rover’s is background checked provides huge peace of mind. Please don’t neglect it, it is Rover’s most important feature. The app though is a little clunky. I would like to be able to sort service providers by distance, ratings, etc. The reservation time doesn’t always appear, etc. A better design would make it a lot easier to use.

My sitter was great, rover app is tedious.
My sitter was great. Both times I have used the rover app I have found it difficult to use. I had to start over 4 times before my reservation went through. That’s a lot of info to have to keep inputting.

Love the app. Fees are too high.
Love the app! Easy to use. Very well thought out. Great features. HOWEVER, I learned that both I & the walker have to pay fees for each walk. On my first walk service, I paid $5 fee and the walker paid $5 fee. That means ROVER took $10 on a $30 walk. Too steep for me.

Great resource for pet sitters, needs better application process
I like that Rover can connect me with people open to walking or sitting for my pup. I wish there was a better screening process though. I have a reactive dog who requires multiple meet and greets to warm up to someone. It is a pain to vet every Rover person. Out of the first three people we've actually met in person, only one actually knew not to approach a barking, lunging dog. I'd like to know up front what their experience is with difficult or special needs dogs and how they respond to different dog behaviors. Do they use punishment, or positive reinforcement? Would they be willing to have a meet and greet with a trainer involved? Providing specific examples might be helpful.

My cats were very unhappy and seemingly…
My cats were very unhappy and seemingly stashed in a bedroom by themselves when I got there. There was quite a delay when the pet sitter finally answered the door which concerned me. There was also food missing from the quantity I left with the sitter. Not happy.

Use the App, Not Desktop or Cellphone Internet
Trying to book a short visit before confirming longer stay was impossible on desktop without canceling longer stay first. Trying to do it on cellphone threw me into an endless loop of signing on and picking date/time. Once I switched to the app, everything worked perfectly.

Navigating the site is not always…
Navigating the site is not always intuitive. It can be a struggle to find simple things. When I book one of my usual sitters, the website always suggests an alternative who does not want to watch my dog anymore (my dog bothers her husband while he works from home) -- I cannot turn off that suggestion and it's been there for over a year.
