The website is horrible. It let me create an account but when I tried to enter my phone number, it said the phone was already tied to an account. I had to use support. It only supported chat. The chat box would go almost entirely off screen so I could not see it. It could not be moved around on screen using drag and drop. The only way to get the chat back was to turn the phone sideways and then back upright. But the chat would go off screen again. It took several minutes for agent to answer, but they disappeared after saying hello. I had to ask if they were still there. It's been six minutes since they said they would look into it. I asked for a phone number to call instead but that was ignored. I'd go elsewhere except I found a pet sitter on their site who I want to use, so I'll put up with this for a little longer.

An incident happened with the sitter and now my dog is labeled dangerous because she double booked. Long story short, sitter first claims my dog attacks the new dog upon arrival and tells me I need to pick my dog up a day early. When I called to talk to her about it, she claims the dogs were now playing together. Why would she report to River my dog was danger and then let her out of her cage to play with the dog she supposedly attacked? When I write up a written statement to Rover back and forth, they try and pin it in me for not picking the right sitter. As far as I know my claim with Rover is still open and I never got my one night refund. I BLOCKED the sitter on the site YET- I STILL GET AUTOMATIC EMAILS SAYING "BOOK JOYCE AGAIN!" No thank you! Their customer service sucks. They need to work on their professionalism and train their sitters in proper protocols. Joyce's personality online and through text was NOT her personality via phone call. She also scolded me for not telling her in person something listed on my pets profile. IT'S IN THE FILE. Then Rover had the guts to ask me to give them a second chance. No chance! My dog is marked dangerous now. No sitters is going to give her a SECOND CHANCE. She's part border Collie and Dachshund....how is that dangerous?! She's just hyper and plays rough! If the sitter felt comfortable to let the dogs play few hours later, then my dog isn't dangerous. But obviously Rover cares more about their sitters than their customers. I don't know why I even bother giving Rover a written statement when they asked. Rover didn't address any of my point of concerns.

So far I’ve had no luck getting anyone to help me with 2 cats! I guess I’m not bougie enough since I live the van life and need help for 1 week! Guess I’ll buy an automatic feeder and automatic water machine and pray about it, because I certainly can’t seem to get anyone to come give my outside cats a couple cans of food every other day! Our sitter did not show up 2 of the 10 nights. We walked into gas (stove on with no flame), filthy toilets (had not been flushed), locked powder room, broken trash and recycle bins, dirty floors.

I've had mostly good experiences, with 1 sitter in particular. However, my issue is with Rover as a service. Rover is simply a payment collection service. They don't actually take any accountability for their sitters. When you have a bad experience, they direct you to handle it with the sitter because they (Rover) are just the middleman; they don't actually care about your pet. They won't follow up with the sitter with your concerns, e.g. showing up 3-6 hours late, staying 3 out of the 30 minutes, etc. That's "your problem," not theirs, according to their support team.

It doesn't look like the sitters get much money after Rover skims off the top. Your "holiday” pay is bullshit. Do you seriously think I should have to pay more for my whole week vacation because Juneteenth falls within my vacation? Do the Rover sitters even get more during these "holiday"pays? I have a strong feeling your company is pulling the fleece over their eyes. Please let me know that these sitters get paid more when there is a holiday happening during my vacation. My sitter was beyond amazing and I really hope she is compensated fairly from your company. Thanks and I am keeping hope that your company is a respectful and fair business.

I was trying to connect with a local sitter through rover and I accidentally typed in the wrong age of my dog as if it were a puppy and the girl didn't accept puppies so it kicked her out of my view and I had no way to contact her after that I couldn't fix my problem and changed the date age of my dog. No human to talk to no way to fix the problem no way to contact the sitter. Got me in a jam. Rover is not good.

I give Nicholas 5 or 10 Stars he was wonderful and great asset to your company the reason I give Rover one is because I think their rates are ridiculous I think the percent they charge above what the caregiver charges is too much
