Very close to the highway
Very close to the highway. People upstairs are very noisy and very late at night. Ice machine was broken room was very clean light in the bathroom kept blinking. Tried to call the front desk about the ice machine, and there was no answer.

The amount you take should be lower
I think the service is needed, and I think the pet sitters are fabulous BUT I think the price is HIGH. I understand the sitters set the price BUT they set the price based on HOW MUCH you gouge them on what they make. Based on that....you must be taking a big chunk. 😕 It's a shame. In regards to tipping , I'd rather just leave cash on the counter for the sitter. Unfortunately as a Senior on social security, it may be a service I can't afford often .

Pros and cons of ROVER
I really like and appreciate the two house-sitters, Brigit and Margaret, who have worked for me. I don't like ROVER prices--so expensive. I have one old cat, with automatic water and feeder, and am charged 15.00/day for the ROVER person to peek at my cat and empty the litter box once/week. I would also like more transparency from ROVER re: how your house-sitters are vetted. I'm trusting my home and pets with a person whom I don't even know their last name let alone background check, etc. I think charging my credit card for a trip I scheduled months ahead is unfair, poor customer service. ROVER is very a valuable service--for frequent travelers like me it is very difficult to find a less expensive alternative.

I have not been able to tip the dog…
I have not been able to tip the dog care provider because of the lack of access on the website! I wrote a review for her but the website lacks intuitive access

Rover takes a cut in addition to the fee that they charge
I found a great dog/house sitter using Rover which was great but it wasn't clear to me that Rove takes a 'cut' of the daily rate IN ADDITION to the fee that they charge me to use Rover.com...which was disappointing to realize that the sitter wasn't getting the full amount that I was paying.

Great for booking and finding sitters
Great for booking and finding sitters. But having to pay 100% upfront can be really expensive for long trip bookings. Would be great if Rover can adapt an installment mechanism, for example 50% at booking and 50% after the trip is complete.

App is not user friendly
App is not user friendly. No instructions on how to start, arrange, communicate , book and pay. I ended up paying for the service by accident without realizing it. It’s a nice service, but too complicated.
