Here in Pa. no show to meet and greet my dogs. Horrible service. Ashley never showed for Appt. no call , nothing. Took off work and no follow up. I will not use Rover at all. I cannot count on good service. would be afraid to go away and not having Ashley showing up. Horrible Animal network!!

I hadd a terrible experience! Never again

the worst experience of my life. I used rover because a co-worker of mine had a good experience and my girlfriend and I had to fly home for the holidays and we didn't want to put our dog through the flight. have a dog that requires medicine to be applied to her eyes twice every day. Part of the agreement with Rover was that send photos of our dog every day, WHICH DID NOT HAPPEN. We wanted the photos to make sure that our dog was getting the eye treatment she needed. Upon returning we found out that the person we left our dog with had LOST THE MEDICINE. So we did not receive photos documenting the fact that she had been getting her medicine, we didn't even get her medicine back as they had lost it and or dogs eyes were TERRIBLE when we got home. So much so that we took her to the vet immediately. When I called Rover to go over this they told me in a polite way that there was nothing that they could do and they would not refund our money or even cover the cost of the medicine that was lost. I WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN NOR WILL I EVER RECOMMEND IT TO ANOTHER PERSON. I wish I could give it 0 stars, even the customer service was horrible.

I thought the service looked great. I input a credit I got from my new apartment but they didn't credit me. I asked why. They said credits are only used for a quick walk service that I would never use. I would never need someone to walk my dog in an hour! Nowhere was this shown on their site until after I paid for service. Its unethical and I for one will never use them again.

Had such bad experience on Rover this time. I was stood up by the first sitter while I was on a trip. I had to deal with this , call Rover many times, try to find another sitter. I was still charged by the first night, then I asked for a refund for that. The customer service, Maddie was very rude, saying that I should pay because she took care of my dog for one night. What kind services is that? The original sitter ruined my trip! Had me to call Rover at midnight! Said she can’t take care of my dog the same day I drop my dog off! Why would I pay her! ! She really turns me off!

Their policy is more friendlier to the sitter, and very bad for the pet owner. If your dog needs vet exam/treatment during the stay and the sitter takes your dog to the vet and pay the bill. They will ask you to reimburse the sitter with the deductible part, REGARDLESS OF IF THE DOG IS HURT BY THE SITTER/SITTER’S PET OR NOT. My dog was hurt by the sitter’s cat and the trust and safety team spoke to me with a tone feeling like they were doing mercy to me by not asking me to reimburse the sitter on the vet bill the sitter paid after my dog was hurt. That sounds really ridiculous to me that Rover protects the sitter more and wants the pet owner to pay the money out of their own pocket even if the dog was hurt by the sitter/sitter’s pet.

this is a review not for any sitter in particular but for the company...I tried to find a sitter and talked to several in my area...I am very dog savvy (work at a shelter etc) and the "level" of people offering sitting services is appaling...most were gone all day long, had zero dog sense (offered to take a dog they never met to a dog park for exercise) and or had multiple dogs in the home, not separated during mealtime etc. I just wouldn't trust the caliber of people who sign up to sit, there is no screening. I also had several tell me they had no interest in sitting my pit mix because it is an "aggressive breed" which is an uneducated stereotype. I'd rather spend good money at a reputable kennel or on a true professional.

This was not a good experience for me.
