False advertising
On the app, it will say something like $20 for a drop-in visit. They neglect to tell you that it is $20 per animal until you book it. Beware because if you are not paying attention, you will be stuck with an enormous bill if you have more than one animal. For the life of me, I cannot see how letting three dogs out in the backyard is more work than doing the same for one dog. $60 for a drop-in visit? Come on! I know walkers who would take all three for a walk for cheaper than that.
Response from Rover.com | Pet SittingFeb 13, 2019
Hi Richard, We're saddened to hear of this experience. Rover is a platform that allows sitters the flexibility to run their personal business and connect with clients, and we are committed to being here for everyone 24/7 to offer support to that end. Sitters set their own prices that vary sitter to sitter. Always be sure to reach out to the service provider and check their detailed rates under the "See Additional Services & Rates" section of their profile. Warm Regards, Spencer D.
