My neighbor works for Rover.com 1st. Dog breaks out of sreen window and is running down the street. Sitter is not there. 2nd. Man standing at door, with dog and dog food. Had appt. sitter not there. I love animals and i give Rover.com a 👎

If I could give it a less than 1 star I would. My first time using Rover.com and my dog sitter cancelled on me 3 days before we leave for vacation. I had to reach out to her before she text me that she couldn't sit for me any longer. Careful to anyone that thinks of doing business with this company. Quality is not here.

Booked an in home sitter 2 months in advance of a trip. She cancelled 12 days before the trip on the 4th of July with no reason. Rover felt giving me a refund and $25 should suffice. We could not find another qualified candidate that would respond. We are one week from what should be a relaxing trip scrambling to find a place or sitter for our dogs. You also do not have the opportunity to leave a negative review for the sitter that cancelled which tells me the ratings are skeptical. Beware.

We were planning vacationing wanted sitter for 4-6 hours for our 4-1/2 month old male puppy so we decided try Rover App. Big mistake I researched the local area we planned on staying after extensive research we choose a few canadites we felt comfortable watching our puppy. His profile said he was a puppy and not yet neutered he is too young. When I sent a request several sitters did not except non neutered dogs.. I found this to be a huge disappointment and a waste of our time... We decide to go a day early to avoid needing a sitter so they lose money and future business, as we do travel a lot I was excited about there services .. I email the corporation but they did not think I was important enough to respond to me... I feel this app needs to eliminate those that do NOT except certain dogs/puppies so that when you search you don’t waste time .I have deleted this app

Oh dear Rover has been a terrible platform since it bought out Dog buddy as they don’t show local dog sitters who have great reviews and they have a poor website / not user friendly as many lose potential clients and move to other platforms in the droves . If I was running this company I would be sacking the managers with this very disappointed platform 😂 🚩 RED FLAG ‘ don’t use rover for your furry Friends 🐾

Rover.com is a huge disappointment. Dog sitter from Rover stole our car, received a speeding ticket (we got this in the mail) and lied. Avoid this company. Small claims court is our only choice to remedy.

Booked a stay for my boy Max a month in advance with Reilly of Lakewood, OH. The dates from June 6th-22nd. Had the meet and greet the week earlier , all went fine and I explained we were going for a 16 day dream European cruise vacation. I had also explained to her that we use rover because my 14 yr old senior dog does not do well at all in kennels or shelters.I confirmed drop off time (4pm) the next day. At 12:47 pm I receive this message ‘ I went to the hospital and was admitted last night for a bowel obstruction and will be here until at least Saturday for a colonoscopy ´ That was it!!! So we were left with 3 hrs to find a sitter in June for 16 days. We ended up kenneling him for 3x the price as they had to move him around different suites according to availability. Also had to get a friend cover 4 of the days adding to the confusion. Contacted rover only for them to say they would be happy to cancel and refund the booking!!! Adding insult to injury they offered 20 bucks towards a replacement stay but that it would not be valid outside of the booking dates. Understand that had I cancelled within a week of the booking i’d of had to pay 50% of the booking fee. Does the sitter have to pay me?! Nope. I can’t even leave a review because the booking was cancelled. I received a courtesy call from a supervisor .... other than an apology I got nothing. So now....happy to copy and paste this to every review site possible. BEWARE booking...you are not protected as the boarder. Reilly of Lakewood OH is NOT reliable or responsible for her actions.

Have two dogs who never fought when left at other day cares but they did here. They made me file a bunch of paper reports and took forever Justin to let me know that since each dog by themselves was less the. $250 they don’t even look into my case for refund. Even if both are over the $250 jointly they need to be separately. Oh, the small words got me again. Best thing of all is that we negotiated the price with the vet becuase it was much lore higher. So FYI ask the vet to go all out and send a nice big bill to Rover.
