Let me be clear
Let me be clear. The person I used was phenomenal. Would highly recommend her. This is a review of Rover.com. I think the site is not user friendly as compared to other service sites, such as Airbnb. It was harder to navigate and I'm tired of the continual follow up emails/notifications. After my dog's stay I received an email to leave my provider a tip - I thought that was extremely tacky. Plus the percentage that Rover tacks on makes the fee significantly more expensive than I anticipated. You can do better Rover!

Dog Boarding licence should be stated…
Dog Boarding licence should be stated more clearly to the dog boarders because I was in the the process of boarding my dog with a lovely lady who did not know that a licence from the council was mandatory until I asked her about filling out forms she did not realise that this was necessary. She was very Genuine about it and came off Rover. Rover needs to make this clear to ALL dog Boarders because their insurance for boarding dog is non invoid if they do not have a licence from the council! And many dog Boarders using Rover as a platform do not have a licence to Board clients dogs. I was so disappointed and had to find someone outside Rover to take my dog at short notice that had a dog boarding licence. If anything happens to your dog on their stay you’re putting your dog at risk getting no insurance cover can prove to be a nightmare for vet bills etc.

I thought the website was difficult to…
I thought the website was difficult to use. I booked a reservation and had to modify it. I had to call customer service because I couldn’t figure it out. I’m usually good with the computer so this was unusual for me. Customer service was great but I don’t like the website at all.

Didn't follow directions
I disliked that the sitter didn't read the instructions on not leaving my dog alone. Then wanted money to fix a door. Held my stuff til i paid her on the tip $40 dollars

The app is not super user friendly

Rover is money hungry.
Why are you charging paying customers fees on top of what we are already paying the dog sitters? I find this to be a bit money hungry seeing as you already take 20% out of the dog sitters’ income and now you’re charging the people that are paying too?! That’s pretty ridiculous and hasn’t always been that way. Makes me not want to use this service anymore.

Rover Customer service stinks
Our sitter was excellent! Rover customer service terrible. Would like a phone number to call AND would like speak to live person who speaks good English !
