This is not at all what I thought it would be. The sitter that watched my dog did not allow me to view the home upon drop off and when I got my dog back 4 days later she was in horrible shape. She had lost wait, had blood shot eyes that were swollen and had scabs I am assuming from being left outside or from punctures. I don’t know the protocol for when this happens but I have told everyone I know, do not choose this method ever. I’m sure rover doesn’t do home checks but their employees are not all fit for what they are doing.

I can't get my keys back from the sitter. Now i have to rekey my lock and pay $75 for the missing key fob. I reported it several times and was ignored. Don't use them, it's not as ethical as they pretend to be. I'm furious!!

To whom this may or may not concern, I had the worst experience as a sitter with an employee from support not setting the expectation and as a result leaving me penalized completely. I was assured that as long as my policy was updated prior to booking day it would reflect right away for anyone. However, that was not the case and as a result Im nearly out $500 that could’ve been made elsewhere had I not blocked my dates out for this individual who wasn’t the most considerate and cancelled with no reasoning. I’m not expecting reimbursement for the entire amount but I expect something for being misinformed, for the amount of times I had to reach out during my valuable time, the subpar customer service, and I shouldn’t have to hear excuses as to why you cannot locate the conversation nor help. I have several cell phone numbers, several emails, and I contact support via every method but because you couldn’t locate nor properly register conversation for instances like these I’m being held liable. The supervisors refuse to take accountability and offered nothing as compensation for their terrible customer service. I’ve never been so disappointed with a company I pay high fees to every time to not have a support system that has my best interest. Considering we are the face of the company and in my case in a matter of two months managed to rake up tons of 5 star reviews. I feel completely unappreciated and I want to make sure everyone is aware of what happened and how it was handled. Certainly I’m not the first to feel undervalued and taken advantage of because your employees from support take no accountability nor offer actual support! For such a huge company I would’ve never imagined the lack of customer service being nonexistent after working so hard, prioritizing pups over our social life, and accommodating clients time and time again with their schedule changes. I will continue spreading the word and sharing my experience under all platforms + resources until someone hears me and steps up to find a solution other than no solution for myself and to make sure others aren’t victimized as well by this Rover App + “Support Team”

How can anyone that owns a dog leave them in the care of a company like this. What are you doing about the stolen designer breed dogs? Stay away from Rover.

My daughter’s dog suffered a terrible death because of a irresponsible rover sitter.

I prepaid for services I never received for May 30..I need a full refund. Thank you

Our family was vacationing in Florida. There were a couple of days that we had some activities we wanted to do that we felt would be best to get a sitter for our dog. This was our first experience using Rover. I gave the sitter a low review because the home represented to me in her profile online was not her real home. Her real home had clutter issues and more. Also she left my pet alone in her home when she was told our pet has separation anxiety. There is more concerns that I listed in her review. Upon getting her review the sitter posted a review of me which included lies. One was that I tried to haggle the price with her when I had paid for the services online a month earlier when I booked the date. Her second lie was that I didn't show up for two meet and greet dates. We arrived in her area the night before and took our dog over at 930 the next morning. She never sent anything about meet and greet. Rover documents all contact. This appointment was one week ago. Yesterday I spent $100 on vet and groomer costs as my dog was infested with fleas. We are suspecting came from the sitters home. We have no proof. The sitter only wanted to meet us outside. Rover has given a list of how I should review them. So here it is. I sent them a review of my concerns a week ago and have not received a response. I regret using this sitter and have learned a lesson. Trust your instinct, I never should have left my dog with this person. Not sure that I will ever use Rover again. Because I haven't had a response and I don't feel that they verify what the sitters are telling them.

We booked our cat sitter one and a half months before our 3-week trip. Our cat sitter canceled our booking a week before we leave. We want to contact rover.com. But there's no way to directly contact them. When I emailed them using their email address on the website, we got this message: "Thanks for reaching out to Rover! This email address is no longer monitored, but you can still get in touch with us. Visit our Help Center to find answers to frequently asked questions or to contact our 24/7 support team directly." When we typing our message on the website, we got automatic messages which were not useful. Then we got directed to send them a message using the same email address that they "no longer maintained." My concern is if I book another cat sitter, how do I know if he/she won't cancel me at the last minute? How do I know if he/she won't cancel when we are gone. My impression is that the company is not well-managed and I am not sure if the sitters are reliable. We ended up canceled the account altogether.
