Don't Trust Rover with your pets
Don't trust Rover with your pets. We hired a sitter, Kennedy R., through Rover for 7 overnight stays to take care of our 2 cats while we were away. We paid $640 (the sitter charged us for 4 extra visits), and we came home to find that the sitter hadn't spent as little as one night at our place, hadn't fed our cats, or changed their litter once. When we complained to Rover that our sitter fooled us and that we paid for services not provided, they agreed to reimburse us $275 (out of $640). We wrote a very negative review on our sitter profile, to warn other pets owner against this person. And guess what? This review doesn't show up on her profile (which only displays 5 stars reviews.) This plateform can't be trusted since pet sitters are able to delete negative reviews from their profile, leaving pet owners unable to make an informed decision as to whom they hire. And of course, none of the guaranties that Rover advertises cover you in case you sitter doesn't show up. There is no way for to you to get your money back in case anything goes wrong! Our advice: avoid Rover altogether.
