Worst customer service
Worst customer service. Had a sitter not show up and they did nothing to help me. Won't use then ever again

Planned ahead and paid ahead and both
Planned ahead and paid ahead and both, BOTH sitters cancelled! One of them the day before. Don't think that just because you've scheduled someone you're safe. I'm less than impressed and in bind trying to figure out who can watch my pets before my vacation!

Although we understand the rare emergency can happen, please be assured we take these situations seriously, review them holistically, and take necessary actions to ensure that last-minute cancellations are not abused. Also, the good news is you can send a booking request to up to 10 sitters a day. All of which go through a background check before they can promote their business on the Rover platform. Stay away, far far away.
Irresponsible recruiting and management tactics, led to the death of my roommate's dog. Buyer beware, they will not accept accountability or take any form of responsibility. Even when you're paying them for services.

Worthless Sitter and Company
We just went on vacation last week and used Rover. And now know why Rover requests payment up front. They and sitter get their money no matter what happens. First the sitter didn't make the meet and greet time, then thru our security system we know she didn't meet any of the times agreed upon....and again security has all the times she came and times she stayed....which wasn't even close by to what was agreed upon. And trying to get Rover to do something about it is a waste of time!!! Anytime you pay up front should be the big warning ⚠️⚠️ Won't use again!!! We did try that route and all Rover tell's you is to contact the sitter....which is the person who thought she was getting over on the customer....all a total runaround with no one being responsible!!!! I personally emailed Rover and got a reply from Kiki and can't even send the requested info back to them, response was either the email address was no longer any good. Ridiculous!!!

Last minute bail out
After discussing the concerns about watching our 2 dogs, one being a coon hound that has lots of energy and barks a lot, our Rover sitter said it was not necessary to meet our 2 dogs, prior to our vacation, she said she could "handle" our coon hound even though we strongly suggested she should at least meet him. The day we left on vacation we got a call from her stating she could not handle our dogs, returned them to us, and left us to scramble for a sitter, needless to say, our dogs had to stay in our home that was trashed even though we had someone come over and see them twice a day. We did get a refund but it was a very frustrating experience.

BEWARE ROVER SITTER
DO NOT BOOK YOUR STAY WITH STELLA’S DOG NAMR RIO - he is a 30lb 3 yr MALE Goldendoodle - HE IS NOT HOUSE TRAINED! HE PISSED ALL OVER MY DAUGHTER AND HE PISSED ON HER BED, FLOOR, AND PILLOW! SHE DID NOT EVEN ANSWER MY PHONE CALL OR COMPENSATE FOR THE DAMAGE.

BE CAREFUL - reviews can't be trusted.
BE CAREFUL. Rover only allows good reviews for sitters, which leaves you completely in the dark as to whether or not you can trust the person with your dog. A big flaw with the system is that if a sitter leaves you high and dry at the last minute, the booking is simply cancelled and you can't leave them a negative review to warn others about their lack of professionalism. Unfortunately, you just can't trust anyone on this app. It flatters to deceive.

They lost my dog !!!
The guy who supposed to take care of my dog for only 1 day ended up losing him in the first 2 hours!! And Rover took forever just to email me and still didn’t do absolutely nothing about the situation. I had a trip planned for the next morning and lost all the money I had paid for it. Don’t trust them !!
