app is not as easy to use as it could be, simplicity would improve the app, and some of the sitters don’t really follow directions and the vetting process of sitters should be clarified

Services from the pet sitter are very good. However, the app interface still needs works! It is confusing and does not have a good logic flow to go from viewing the available pet sitter to booking to perform follow up actions such as sending messages to the sitter or modifying the booking details. The messaging interface does not have a scrolling feature within the message box.

I found a great sitter on Rover, HOWEVER, Rover takes a very large percentage of the sitter funds for their fees. It's a shame how little the sitters actually make. They only show you the their add on fees, but in truth they also take a percentage of the sitter's daily fee. This causes sitters to increase their daily fee just to make a decent amount and Rover then becomes pricier than a kennel.

Hi Kim, thank you for your review. Our fees support 24/7 customer service, trust and safety, site maintenance, and sitter benefits, including payment processing and promotions. They also fund our Rover Guarantee for peace of mind. We value your feedback—please contact Rover Support at 888-453-7889 if you have any further questions. -Lexie

For how long Rover has been around, I find the user interface lacking and difficult to navigate. It shouldn't be that difficult to find your own past bookings. I also frequently experience weird glitches, and they don't put full pricing up front. There's always shadow pricing that isn't displayed on the main page when searching for a sitter.
