The worst pet care and service app ever! I would never trust them to care for my animals! After how they treated myself and my animals during an awful booking experience. Then when in communication with customer service/trust and safety in regards to this booking, they were incredibly rude about the whole process! Especially Melisa with trust and safety, she had the worst tone with me and had no compassion for my situation. Please don’t use them for any services, they were unable to offer me and my animals the proper health and safety they needed!

I used Rover before without incident. We live in California and were going to Texas so we used Rover to board my dog from December 18 -29 and we selected a lady who posted charge of $35 / day. When we agreed she changed her price to $60. a day and finally comprised at $55. per day. We left our dog with her and every day she is sending us pictures and telling us how wonderful my dog is! Then December 23rd all of a sudden my dog growling and biting and we have to come and get her!!! She says she fears for her safety! My dog has never bitten anyone and I told her I am in Texas but she insisted!!! My Wife believes she just wanted more money because no one had any opening just before Christmas but thank God a friend of mine came and got my dog Jasmine and had zero problems with her!!! These were not dog people or they would have worked with my dog as dog people do!!!

Samantha A. in Pittsburgh -don't use her. I honestly don't know how she gets jobs b/c she NEVER does what she says she will do. I gave her a second chance asking her if she wanted to talk. Once again she has blown me off. I wouldn't be surprised if she gave bad service or maybe just walked out in the middle of the job.

There is a reason Rover.com has a one star rating! I recently booked a stay for my pet for a week. When I booked, the website popped up one page and immediately another covering the first. I thought I was booking with the one on top. Evidently, both went through. I did not discover that two had been booked until I was charged for both. They only refunded a portion the duplicate booking. There is no excuse for their computer program not to flag a booking for the same dog on the same days, with two sitters. This mix-up was the fault of the Rover booking system, and customer service took no responsibility. I'm now working with my credit card company, but I may be out almost $200 if that doesn't work due to their booking system. Do not use this service!

Hired a dog sitter and they did not dog sit; they did drop ins leaving my dog unattended for 12+hrs throughout the day which gave him major anxiety. He pooped in the house and my floorboards were torn up at the front door. Rover won't do anything about it and is only offering 50% refund which is nothing.

rover.com does not give you an opportunity to let them know that there is an issue immediately with the sitter. Also there is not an option to dispute the charges. My sitter was gone over 60% of the time, And there was nothing I can do about it. All I was able to do is write her bad review which does nothing!

Rover adjusted our contract after our second day. They refunded the money but not before we had to pay another dog sitter. I had to come up with $1100 while on vacation until the refunds came through. It was over Christmas and our first dog walker quit. They told her she didn’t need to return our key and wouldn’t help us find someone else. We were on the phone for hours dealing with this over Christmas. Our animals went 24 hours with no care.

My sitter never showed up to pick up my dog. I was unable to cancel the first booking for December 25, 2021 and December 26, 2021 because it would not go through. However I was able to cancel my extended one day booking for December 27, 2021. I have asked for a refund from Rover customer service as well as my booked sitter. I still have not been refunded. I really was excited to find Rover but have had a terrible experience. I would not recommend Rover.
