I've only used Rover once, but tried to use it twice. I made a reservation and had it agreed on. Before the drop off date, the Rover Sitter notified me he would not be able to keep his commitment. This wouldn't happen with dog kennel companies. The one time I did use Rover, it was excellent. Everything went just as planned and I believe my dog was very happy and comfortable with the person she stayed with. I will definitely use Rover again.

They do a good job of bringing sitters and owners together. Maintaining full insurance on all stays is a big comfort as we'll. The only downside is that you can't really know everyone you might consider for your four legged family, so you either have to take a leap of faith or spend time in advance talking to a lot of people. That said, I've had nothing but good experiences and wholeheartedly recommend them as an alternative to boarding facilities for dogs that don't do so well or have special needs.

We had to visit a few different people before we found someone we were comfortable with but now that we did we are very happy! You can't get the full picture thru a post so make sure you check out the place where they are staying.

I find booking a pet sitter very easy on Rover.com. We have formed relationships with two care providers and are very happy with the service.

I love that I don't have to speak to anyone in person about scheduling or paying for dog sitting services. Their online platform is easy to use. My only complaint is that many of the sitters don't respond to booking requests or response several days/weeks after an inquiry.

Valerie was amazing, constant updates and peace of mind. Couldn't ask for more.

We has a wonderful experience with our dog sitter and I will definately user her again but if you really want a five star recommendation, you should be doing some sort of background check on the people you represent on Rover.com. Users are taking a risk with both there pets and their homes and although I had a wonderful experience with our dog sitter and would use her again, I wonder how many people have had issues having people they do not really no stay in their home while they are away. I was concerned and I imagine others are as well. You could charge an additional fee or something for those persons that have been checked and let users decide if they want to pay for the added security and use sitters that have passed a background check.

I had a wonderful experience with this site. The lady that I had watched my dog did a wonderful job. The only thing is I would have to say is make sure you meet the person watching the dog before the date. I met one lady that wanted nothing but a perfect dog to watch so make sure you read the reviews and really talk to person that would be watching your pet.
