I would give this company zero stars if I could. We booked 3 dog sitters via this site on the run up to our holiday in August. All cancelled! The worst thing was the last of the sitters (Sabrina) had confirmed the booking on the 17th of April and then cancelled on the 23rd July with only two weeks remaining before the start of our holiday. It left is really stressed out with no availability elsewhere at this late stage. Very disappointed, especially as they advertise their reliability. Would never use this service again.

Was not impressed by the home boarder. My dog got diarrhea while at the border home. But I feel that she was more concern about getting her home ready for sale on the market than my pet. I want be using your app for any future boarding. I prefer to use a company that is knowledgeable about pets and who know what to do in any certain circumstances. I want be referring her to anyone. Those favorable ratings she received I would question. I have delete your app so there’s no need to contact me any further. Thank you. And I give her 1 star out of five stars.

I visited a dog boarder I found on the rover platform and had some concerns about them not offering me the opportunity to view inside of property in addition the garden although secure was covered in dog excrement and the water bowl was empty and damaged. I had originally thought all those on Rover were licensed but after the home visit I completed checks and found this was not the case and the dog boarder although pleasant when we met confirmed via text they didn’t have a licence this was a red flag so I didn’t use the boarder I found on Rover. There may of course be licensed dog boarders on Rover I didn’t explore further after my experience. Not having a licence doesn’t always indicate an issue with the quality of care but is likely to make your pet insurance invalid if your pet becomes unwell or has an accident. I then contacted up to 40 licensed dog boarders and was signposted to holiday4dogs where all boarders are licensed. I think Rover needs to make it a requirement that dog boarders using their platform need to have a dog boarding license until they do you are taking a risk and a recent case in the Daily Mail has highlighted this risk where a dog died in a conservatory on 17 July when left by an unlicensed dog boarder the dog owner found on Rover.

I used Rover for the first time. My dog got injured by other dog under petsitter’s care and ended up received surgery. Rover’s guarantee service is a joke. My dog is Shih-tzu and they do not cover Proptosis. If you have a pug, shih-tzu, and similar breed, Rover has a list of things they are not covering. Now my dog lost her eye and I ended up with 2000 medical bill. Rover does not care about your pet and only tries to cover their xxx. My perfectly fine dog before taking to petsitter now has only one eye and I need to pay the bill. Do you think it is fair? The appeal can be done by vet not my pet owner and normally vet will not claim behalf of you. Claim process is ridiculous and Rover makes it difficult to claim

The experience is that regardless of numerous safety issues, the contact being broken from the sitter and rover having zero control or liability over the situation is insane. Where is the safety in this service if the dogs are not taken care of in what is discussed in there profile and advertisement. The sitter canceled in the middle of the stay, brought dogs into the home when this was not advertised, asked about disciplining my dogs who have never had issues before. Go to a professional service do not use Rover.

rover didn’t protect my pet we hade a horrible sitter that left my dogs alone all day against my instructors and Rover didn’t do anything against the sitter next pet to get hurt can be yours

Rover is awful! Just a NIGHTMARE! I would NEVER use again or recommend anyone who cares about their pets to use! I’m stuck with vet bills from injuries my dog suffered under Rover’s care!
