Glad Jill could take our dog, Star....as she was who we went to with Dog Vacay. She will be our back-up if the other lady cannot take Star. Jill works full time, so is not there all day, but her son in high school takes care of whoever needs care when he gets home around 3 pm. She is a good care giver, and when her son called to see where she left Star's things, she was able to tell him exactly where she had left the bed, water dish, etc.

So far so good. I’ve heard some scary stories about you. Rover, you need to be more proactive and do background checks on sitters. If someone’s dog is abused it’s your fault as well by allowing Tom, Richard and Harry to sit. I’m hesitant to take my dog back.

I've only had 1 Rover experience since the merge with DogVacay, but it was great! I could not have asked for better. We took the dogs on vacation and I needed a sitter for very long days (10-12 hours sometimes) and found a very friendly, competent and accommodating sitter using Rover. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is that I had a couple of not-so-great experiences on DogVacay (which has now merged into Rover). Nothing traumatic, but a couple of times the sitters I used did not fulfill my expectations. My advice is use the service to filter and select a sitter, contact them, and then interview like you would a job candidate. After that, schedule a time for your dog(s) to spend an intro couple of hours with the sitter when you have nothing else to do to see how things go. That way, you get to meet the sitter and get a feel for the surroundings and see how your dog(s) will do there during your free time, without risking missing a scheduled event if the sitter and/or environment isn't right for your dog(s). Just my advice, but I definitely love the Rover service!

I love rover as a sitter and as an owner. I've met many great animal lovers and have always felt comfortable with everyone. Similarly, their technical support and customer service is phenomenal. My only complaint would be that I have had a really hard time adjusting bookings after they have been accepted. It always requires and email to rover support. That being said, it could just be my lack of technical intuitiveness. This app is great!

Hi Sonia, Julie responded to your message about watching Todd from 9/30/17 to 9/30/17. Julie says: Okay. I'm sorry but I am going to have to pass. I do work on the 30th and don't think I would be able to give the time Todd needs. I also would not make enough to make the trip "worth it". My step mother dogsittings on Rover as well. Her name is Louise R and she is on fort Knox and she may be interested. Telling a client it won't be "worth it" to make the trip is an unprofessional representation for the Rover Company. Brenda is a Rover sitter I have used on various occasions, but I'm not sure if she's currently a Rover sitter. I last used Brenda's services on 9/23/17. I no longer see her profile. Sooo, go figure!!!

Rover.com provides a great way for pet owners and pet sitters to link up. We rely on Rover.com entirely for home stays as well as drop in visits for our pets. Our experience has been overall very positive.

Rover's site & app were easy to use. It has informative profiles of the pet care givers. It also provides good questions to think about & ask for the best experience. The only thing I found tricky to do in the app was changing the dates for my itinerary. That's why I gave it 4 stars. Otherwise, 5 stars on all other aspects of Rover.

I have had positive experiences using Rover.com. The website is relatively user friendly, but certainly could be improved.
