I have used Rover a few times and really like it. It seems that they have screened people well, although I haven't had my pet boarded with anyone yet. I didn't give them 5 stars because I do not care for the new dog Quick Match Dog Walking service that they are pushing. I would rather meet with a potential walker in advance, and not have someone I've never met enter my apt to walk my dog by someone she hasn't met either. I feel the ability to choose a walker was what set Rover apart from Wag, and was the reason I chose to use Rover over Wag. Besides this new service, I don't really have any complaints about what they offer or the people who have walked my dog.

The service is great, the hosts have been amazing. The website interface is not the most user friendly. I have a hard time navigating to find my bookings or make changes.

Great tool to locate reliable pet sitters but the fees get a bit ridiculous if you need to extend a stay.

We love our sitter, Dianna Andre. She has helped us numerous times and we hope to use her in the future. I give her 5 stars. I’m ambivalent about the Rover company though. I give them only 2 stars because of their pricing policies. We pay a significant daily fee, a portion of which they take from the sitter. Additionally we are charged another fee at the end. It seems too greedy to me.

Rover makes finding a dog sitter very accesible and easy. The reservation and payment process is seamless. My only complaint is that some sitter specific wants are hard to search for. For example, our dog is used to having someone at home most of the time and is does not like being in a crate but it’s hard to search for crate-free, mostly-at-home sitters. Beyond that, Rover does an excellent job displaying rates, location, reviews, sitter availability, and other sitter qualifications such as medication administration. I’m very glad this company is available for pet parents and we definitely recommend them to our friends.

We identified a person who housed our two dogs on Rover.com. One stay was a weekend, one was three weeks. One dog is highly Social; one is insecure. We visited our host prior and felt comfortable. We were very happy with both experiences. We were sent photos, the host clearly got to know our dogs. The biggest sign was that when we took them for the second time, they were content to be left.

Everything was fine, but it took awhile. I am used to Dog Vay Cay, so I was not happy when I had to wait so long for some kind of a communication to know if my request had been filled. Also, I needed to contact Ashley to let her know what time we would arrive to pick up our dog, but didn't know I had to go through Rover to do that, and I did not have Rover's phone number, and was on the highway on our way home. However, everything all worked out, and Savannah had a wonderful time with Ashley, and was very well cared for I am sure I will get used to Rover. It's a good system. Peggy Daiss
