Rover.com | Pet SittingReviews of rover.com

I appreciate being able to shop Rover for reputable cat care givers when I need to travel. The bios and reviews helped me choose and meet a care giver with success the first time I engaged when I was gone for short or more extended trips away from my town. The site is obviously set for owners who want a care giver for dogs. Cats are less likely to change residence and be happy than dogs, in my opinion. The ability for the care giver to visit my cats in their residence reduces the number of stress factors for my cats. This puts my mind at ease as well. The photos of the cats in their home and interacting with a caring individual reduces my stress while traveling. I would rate Rover higher if it was clearer that the service workers could indicate they serve cats (or even other types of animals). It required some searching to find my options for a care giver who serves cats. Maybe a cat emojis the profile or ability to sort care givers for cats. If that is on the site, it is not evident to me.

The scheduling piece is confusing. I’d like to see what days I have a walker scheduled in a calendar view.

Rover is easy to use

I have been a regular user of DogVacay and now Rover. While I previously had a regular dog sitter, they moved away and I found DogVacay. I really enjoy being able to tap into Rover on short notice because I can usually find at least one dogsitter in my area. And I now rely on two primary sitters, both of whom do a wonderful job. One can handle my multiple dogs, the other is good with my most sensitive dog. I'll certainly continue to use these sitters.

We liked the dogvacay.com better, it was more attentive and friendly company, but since our favorite dog sitter moved to rover.com, we use it.

I have been very happy with sitters. I get too many e-mails from Rover. A few less would be sufficient: pick a sitter, hear back from them, pay. I tend to get ten per daycare. Also both sitters I've used meet on the front porch so I've never seen where the actual sitting takes place. Is this your policy?

Renzo's report card says he is 4 months old and weighs 10 pounds. He must have taken quite a poop because when I left him 2 hours earlier he weighed 36 pounds!!! I could lose a few pounds myself. Maybe I can get Brandi and Savanah to walk me!

I had a problem with adding another night to my dog's stay, but Ginger in Customer Support had me straightened out in no time!!
