Rover.com | Pet SittingReviews of rover.com

My puppy and I love the person we have. However, the website can be difficult. It often forces you to request services from people you do not want to ask in order to get it to take the reservations you are trying to put in. However, Even if things are going well with you sitter/dog walker it is nice to have the service as it offers a level security for both individuals involved which helps to maintain a business relationship. The dog owner knows there is a decrease in them being cheated and the service provider does not get stiffed.

My first experience with Rover was terrible. The person I hired to take care of my dog showed up 3 hours late. Meaning I would be home in 1 hour so it defied the point of getting my dog out for a bit during my long day at work. However, I still needed someone to watch my dog the following week. I chose someone with multiple reviews and more on the pricey side and he was fantastic and is now my go to dog sitter. Just be careful who you chose to watch you animals. Those with reviews from non family members and who charge more will be more on top of taking care of your dog. If you go cheap be prepared to get cheap service.

Easy service to use, a little more than traditional boarding kennels but pleased with the services provided.

I think Rover is a great idea and much needed. We were able to get two excellent sitters for our dog at short notice, and that really saved our vacation and peace of mind. My only suggestion is to make it easier to fix errors (in our case, one of our sitters was not paid for a visit she made and which we requested). The people at Rover did fix the problem in two days, but the software forced some circuitous workarounds. That said, I am considering working there as a dog sitter myself.

I used rover.com to find a sitter for my new puppy. The person I found is wonderful and I feel better leaving with a family vs a kennel where she’d be primarily crated. Rates are reasonable. I would recommend checking them out, but of course need to feel comfortable with whomever you select from their site.

Great service. The only issue I have is being able to schedule a different number of visits each day. For instance, we were leaving for the weekend so I needed one visit Friday evening, two visits on Saturday, and one visit Sunday morning. I had to schedule for 3 days with one visit each, then schedule a completely separate visit for Saturday.

I think Rover.com provides an unbelievably important resource to those of us who love our dogs. I used a new boarder (Carter H.) for a 3 day - 2 night stay on very short notice. I met him a couple days before and was immediately put at ease. My only reservation would be that pricing is all over the place ... however, I understand that each boarder should be allowed to set their own rate. Also, recent publicity about s lack of screening or insurance being provided by Rover.com. Those two issues are of serious concern.

Great experience, easy to use. Wish the messaging was a little more seamless
