The sitter was dishonest, stole some items, did not spend the time at my house she promised, didn’t give my dogs his medication and Rover will not do anything about it. I (incorrectly) assumed they were responsible for theft, non-performance, etc. and that isn’t true. Read Rover terms of service and do not assume they will do the right thing unless your pet runs away or is injured. They do not discipline sitters for theft or not doing what they promised to do. I did contact Rover and after a significant delay and many emails and calls, they expressed sympathy but it is not clear any action will occur. Thank heavens my dogs are alive and not injured.

Do not leave your dog with rover, I guarantee they will lose your dog, not pay for vet bills or the loss of your dog.

I just signed up and got 2 offers for someone to walk my dog. However , when I went to pay 2 different credit cards did not work when I tried to pay. I contacted both banks and asked about it and they said that rover did not provide the charge for each request they got. I contacted support at rover and they said to check with my bank after I already told them I did. They did not respond after this. There is no phone number for help and support is very bad. As a result I informed 2 people that I wanted to pay them but couldn't .

Rover keeps charging me multiple authorizations of $0.10. Last time I got a walk they charged me $0.10 eleven times in addition to the walk and tip I paid. The app truly sucks. They need a better developer.

If your animal comes home with fleas, don’t expect a refund or any support from Rover. They made no effort to even try and understand the issues it has caused, we’ve spent hundreds of pounds a month trying to get rid of the damage an irresponsible and lying owner caused and Rover refused to do anything, the pet-sitter is actually still operating as usual, Rover didn’t care about that, they’re happy for the fleas to go global. It’s hard because you do not want to judge someone’s living environment but if something seems off then please get your animal out of that house because nobody else is going to help you.

The sitter didnt do anything i needed her to do for my cat...I met her, I explained it in person, and I even typed it out step by step. I came home to no food and a filthy litter box...she said my cat never came out, she never seen her!!!! Refund!!!

Unfortunately, we picked a sitter that should not be allowed to be a sitter. She left our indoor dogs outside for more than 2 hours the first day and more than 5 the second day while she left the house and ran errands. We had to end our vacation early because the dogs were not in capable hands. Rover was very apologetic and refunded the unused days, but I truly believe we should not pay for any of the visit and the sitter should not be allowed to take on new business with Rover. There are common sense things that every sitter should know, leaving dogs outside unattended is definitely one of them. Since Rover does not warrant the quality of their sitters, I will most likely never consider Rover again. Our vacation had to end after 2 of 7 nights. It cost us additional dollars to get emergency flight home and generally think Rover should ensure their sitters are qualified.

Hired a sitter ti stay with my pet for eight hours while I attended my sons wedding; she came late, with a baby, gave the baby a bath while here, and left early because my dog was giving her a headache and not letting the baby sleep. There is bo way to communicate with Rover as I think i am entitled to a partial fee return, will never use rover again.
