The 4.5+ star home was dangerous. Clutter, debris, food, chemicals accessible. I was in a medical emergency and had to get to hospital immediately. I ended up leaving my dog in the Veterinary Kennel. KNOWING FULL WELL, A WEEK LATER, MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED AND I WAS ASKED TO RATE MY DOGS CARE. BEWARE!!!

We were delighted to find Jeff on Rover. His facility seemed like the perfect spot for our very social and athletic Great Dane. I took Parker for a visit beforehand and all seemed well and very professional. We decided to book the week long stay while I was away on a business trip. After two days, I was informed that Parker was limping after an apparent injury to his right wrist. Jeff took action isolating Parker from the pack and reducing his play time. A few days later the swelling had increased and it was evident that there was a serious injury. Despite proper communication and "support" from Rover, I am leaving a 2 star review instead of one. After much pondering, It seems like pet safety is not a top priority. This is evident by the rough play some other dogs exhibited and random holes and divots throughout the play area that could pose risk for larger dogs. Based on this experience, we will not be using Jeff for pet care. Now for Rover's side of things. Upon picking up Parker, we were finally able to evaluate the extent on the injury. Jeff was kind enough to lift our massive dog in to the car as he was unable to jump into our SUV like normal. We took Parker to vet where they wanted to conduct x-rays, blood work, and provide pain killers and antiinflammatories. The low end of the estimate for this initial visit was $1500! The Rover guarantee requires that YOU PAY UP FRONT with only the chance of reimbursement based on a diagnosis that contributes the injury to negligence. Preexisting conditions or breed specific issues may be cause for denial of the claim making the entire claims process a gamble. Customer support did communicate well, but in the end, we only received a PARTIAL refund for the stay. A full refund should be the baseline for a situation like this but apparently that is up to the sitter, not the corporates. Our dog was fed and taken potty but was returned to us in poor physical condition that required medical attention. HOW IS THIS AN ACCEPTABLE BUSINESS PRACTICE? Are the individual sitters not required to purchase business insurance like other professionals? I understand that accidents happen but we couldn't be any less satisfied with our total Rover experience for our injured Great Dane. We will be looking elsewhere for our future pet care needs.

As a sitter expecting to be paid for your services. DO NOT. I REPEAT DO NOT use ROVER. They will not pay you and they will claim they have. They will try to convince you it is up to your institution to provide evidence that you have not received funds!

The sitter I booked through Rover was very untrustworthy, I assumed Rover vetted the sitters, but seems not to be the case, I will be much more careful about booking a sitter this time.

Sono rimasta molto delusa da questa applicazione perché in un periodo come quello attuale, estivo, di partenze e vacanze, ho contattato parecchi dog sitter e tutti con una scusa (calendario non aggiornato) o con l'altra (esami universitari, ferimento ad una mano....etc), mi hanno rifiutato. Ritengo che l'aggiornamento del calendario, visto che ci si propone come dog sitter, sia d'obbligo e pure scontato. Il periodo estivo è senz'altro quello di maggior richiesta per cui la stessa piattaforma dovrebbe preoccuparsi di cancellare chi non indica la propria disponibilità o, viceversa, la propria disponibilità ma in pratica, non reale. Attraverso l'indicazione delle date, l'app mi suggeriva parecchi nominativi che nel giro di qualche ora si sono rivelati non disponibili. Non giudico seria né affidabile un app del genere e la sconsigli altamente.

Most difficult website to navigate. The app is just as difficult. Not a good experience. Might work for raking in money but doesn’t work for customers. Poor customer services.

Horrible apparently they're screening system does not work cuz I've had several pet sitters that did not show up

Tiene muy altas las comisiones por lo demás bien pero ya que uno se queda con un cuidado del perro que menos ganar algo no miseria en total un 30% de comision 15% del cuidador y otro 15% al dueño lo veo bastante abusivo
