We evaluate each profile to determine whether it meets our unique set of quality standards. If we decide the sitter or dog walker is a good fit for Rover, we’ll approve their profile, and they can then list pet care services on the site. Finding sitters and dog walkers who are the right fit for Rover is something we take very seriously. We do everything we can to be thorough the first time around, and for that reason the approval decision is final and cannot be appealed. Becoming more expensive and unreliable
Becoming more expensive and unreliable! This is definitely very good website and saviour. But recent times the rates are so high that it's totally getting unreliable. I am trying to book something for next month but rates seems to appear increased on top of the rates displayed plus rover fees. Somewhere this greed business model should stop and be realistic. charging £40/£50 a day ?

The outside and the inside are different
When I went to the website, I could see a lot of people providing services, but when I logged in, there weren't that many people providing services. Also, the prices were higher than those of specialized service stores.

The Rover app is not forgiving
The Rover app is not forgiving. If something needs to be changed, it's impossible without an act of congress. One hand never knows what the 2nd hand is doing. There is no communication between employees' notes. It seems as though no notes are written, so from day to day I had to repeat the same problems over and over with no positive outcome. Problems just continue. The walker for my dog is wonderful, so I am very happy to have found her from Rover.com

My dog was attacked by another dog…
My dog was attacked by another dog within a sitters home. I was unaware the sitter would have so many other dogs. When I initially met the sitter he had one small dog and didn't mention he'd be looking after numerous others. I have been left with £550 vet bills which rover said I need to claim myself using my own insurance. Left feeling stressed, anxious and out of pocket.

Computer Support was Useless
Computer Support was Useless. Unable to reply to communication I received from housesitter because of 403 error. Support kept telling me to click on 'Reply Now', which is what I was doing when I got the 403 permission denied error. Liked the housesitter, but wouldn't use the service again if this doesn't work right.

Serious complaints not taken seriously
Had a terrible sitter experience and reached out to Rover and I felt dismissed and nothing has come from it. Also, the reviews for the sitter I used seem fake, there were multiple 5 star reviews from the same 2-3 names all within days of each other.

When leaving a review of my sitter
When leaving a review of my sitter, I exited before leaving a tip. Then I learned that I couldn’t go back on the site and leave a tip for my sitter. That needs to change.
