While the sitter who watches my dog is very good, Rover is very bad. The customer service is horrible as well as their website which is very cumbersome. Too bad I have to deal with a company like that who books credit cards months in advance for boarding.

Been using Rover since the start of this year. Two dogs caused a couple hundred pounds worth of damage to my carpet. Rover refuse to cover any expenses, also refused to even send me the fees I have made from MY bookings to help towards the damage. They essentially bypass any expenses in their small print and offer no insure so there is no point in paying the fees on top of your booking, go direct with the sitter you choose. It means the sitter will get what they are owed and the owner doesn't have to spend more on an 'imaginary' insurance that actually doesn't cover either party throughout the booking. Awful company to work with unfortunately I had to find out the hard way when I have no accumulated the expenses and repair work needed to my carpet.

Me descargué la app hoy para ver si podía empezar a pasear perros y llenando el perfil para verificar mi identidad me pedían 14€. Apenas leí eso cerré la app (SIN ACEPTAR EL PAGO, SIN DARLE AL BOTÓN) y de igual manera me hicieron el cobro en el banco. Una vergüenza. Ladrones.

Pet sitter, j'ai envoyé mon numéro à des personnes pour qu ils m appelle car ma maison est difficile à trouver et rover m a radié, m accusant d avoir voulu être payé de main en main alors qu aucun message ne va dans ce sens et j'ai été payé via le site! J'ai des personnes qui devaient me contacter pour leurs animaux et plus rien!!!! Rover vous raye sans vérifier les messages et font comme ils veulent alors quejen'ai eu aucune intention malveillante au contraire aider mes clients!!!!

Jako opiekun bardzo się zawiodłam sposobem w jaki odbywa się kontakt między klientem a platformą. Moje konto zostało zawieszone bo "próbowałam zrobić transakcje poza platformą", ponieważ zamieściłam informację o "kontakcie przed rezerwacją w celu dostosowania ceny transportu". Oczywiście chodziło o cenę na Rover bo aplikacja ma wpisaną usługę transportu z góry jako całkowita usługa a nie za przejechany kilometr. Dostałam e-mail, że mam 48 godzin na reakcję, żeby sprawdzić profil i to czy jest tam coś niewłaściwego jednak już po godzinie konto było zawieszone. Niby jest numer na infolinię ale infolinia odsyła na e-mail. Nie ma żadnej możliwości szybkiego kontaktu. Oczywiście można się odwołać od decyzji ale zanim zostanie rozpatrzona, tracicie kilka dni i wszystkie płatności są zawieszone.

Extremely disappointing experience with Rover I am extremely disappointed with both the sitter and the way Rover handled this situation. We booked a sitter a month and a half in advance. Because our dog is not comfortable around strangers, we arranged two separate meet-and-greets beforehand. He was calm and comfortable with her, which gave us confidence that he would be safe and happy staying with her. Everything seemed completely fine until yesterday at 8 p.m., when the sitter cancelled our booking — just hours before our flight at 7 a.m. This has put my entire family in an extremely difficult situation. At this point, finding a new sitter is not simply a matter of opening the app and making another booking. Our dog needs to meet the person beforehand, and I need to feel comfortable trusting them with him. That is impossible to arrange properly at such short notice. Because of this cancellation, we may not be able to travel at all, potentially losing our flights and all the plans we had made. What is particularly upsetting is that Rover’s policies leave the customer carrying the consequences when a sitter cancels at the very last minute. I understand that circumstances can change, but there needs to be much stronger protection for customers in situations like this. I have lost not only money, but also trust in the platform. A booking made six weeks in advance should not leave a customer potentially stranded hours before departure with no realistic solution. I hope Rover seriously reviews how last-minute sitter cancellations are handled, because this is not an acceptable way to treat customers.

I gave my sitter a tip before settling home from our 14 day trip and unpacking my cats bag I left with the sitter. I’d like to say this is our first time using a sitter through Rover. Usually if we were going on a trip we'd use a pet boarding business but we decided to try this out. I figured I should leave a good tip which was 20% = $50 and a 5 star written review because she was consistent with communication. I packed my cats bag with food, treats, bowls, toys, everything my cat needed for a 14 day stay. I packed 16 packs of wet food, 1 should have been fed to my cat everyday. When we returned only 3 packs had been used out of the 16 I packed. Her dry food bag was near full, so were her treats. My cat is scared of her toys that were brought to the sitters place as well. We’ve used other boarding places and our instructions for our cats care were taken seriously as to provide the best care that we expect and our cat returned to us acting normal. I spoke to a representative and expressed my concern and my request to adjust my review and tip and they said “to ensure the integrity of community feedback” they are unable to edit reviews and tips. This doesn’t make sense.. Rover gives up to 21 days after the booking is complete to give a tip and review, what does integrity have to do with it? When booking you can adjust up to 3 days before, with other services such as Doordash or Walmart delivery you are able to adjust the tip.. what makes Rover any different? A service is being provided regardless, and I want to be able to leave an accurate review and an accurate tip based of my satisfaction of care for my cat. I’m disappointed with this Rover policy and think something should change.

My dog was abused my Dogsitter and came home with injuries. I reported to rover and received an email they would reach out but no one ever did. Horrible and irresponsible
