Do not do sufficient checks to keep pets safe. Anyone can sign up to be a sitter on Rover and as long as they get their commission, that's all they care about. To be a dog home boarder in the uk, you need to have a correct licence from your council. Rover do not require you have one before advertising services. Your dogs are at risk of seriously inexperienced "carers" trying to earn money on the side. contact your local councils and they will provide you with businesses that are compliant and experienced in giving your pets the best care possible.

I had a very bad cat sitter, who abused my cat, actually traumatized him! She let him out the first night and I worried about him being in her care so much so that I came home early! I'm glad I saw on camera what she did to him, but the worst part was no help from "leadership" regarding a refund or any remedy for such a horrible experience! They wouldn't bend on policy that I had to speak to her, though as angry as I was, that would not have been a good idea! And now I'm worried she'll do that to other cats because they won't say anything! 1st and last time I will ever use rover! Definitely more geared for dogs although they "service" cats, every policy guarantee is for dogs only! Letting my cat out was nothing compared to letting a dog out to them!

My first and last time using Rover. I am in complete shock of their lack of intelligence, common sense, and zero customer service. Our experience with our sitter was a nightmare, but I won’t even get into that. I called the day our booking ended because a ROVER representative told me to call back to make sure the person that referred me got her $20 credit. Long story short, the person that referred me sent me a link to the person she uses. They were not available, so they sent me a link to someone else who was not available, this happened about 4 times and finally I just picked someone. Now Rover is giving me a problem because it was not booked through their link??? I spoke with a ROVER representative the date I booked, that told me they noted my chart and just call back when my booking was over and they would give my friend her $20 credit. Now that is all a lie and now I spoke with 2 incompetent employees that sound like the call is being sent out of the country and are robots. They both interrupted me talked over me and just kept repeatedly talking about the link. Like a script. I asked them is it worth $20 to ROVER to receive a bad review? And to lose multiple customers??? No response, Be assured I will never use ROVER again, nor will my friend that referred me. She used to use ROVER monthly. I see/talk to about 20 patients a day, I will make sure they know about my experience and never even think of using ROVER. I think it is extremely sad and pathetic your company is run so poorly. It is not even about the money. Hopefully, one day you will comprehend what you are doing wrong, and if not I will make sure to let the world know.

Cat sitter cancelled just over 2 weeks away from booking despite being paid in full, now have to wait up to 10 days for a refund, leaving me with no money to find another. Apparently she's too busy to spend 30 mins a day with my cats! Don't use this site, find a more reputable sitter from elsewhere to look after your fur babies

I have had only bad expierence with this site The sitters if they even are never answered queries Even when I paid online they never turned up I am surprised at all the posituve reviews Must be the “ Sitters” friends or family It’s total crap I cannot get a sitter that I can trust in there only young kids that have no common decency as they can’t even get back to me with the dates I afk them too I wouidnt trust this site It’s a nightmare

I had a truly terrible experience with a dog sitter, shared my experience with them as a review and submitted a report, and they did nothing, no reaction. What are they good for other than an app where people announce themselves and charge you and them a fee? I expected a little bit more.

Not professional, went out of town for 8 days and I payed the sitter for 30 min and she was not even in my house for 10. I have proof and captured video surveillance. She was approximately in my house for 4-5 min each visit. Also, my cat litter was completely full and my apartment smelled like pee and poop as soon as I walked in. Never has it smelt like that. Very careless and they just rob you of your money. 160 payed for not even a full hour total all together for the visits. STAY AWAY. Ps sitter name was kasha k.
