Upon arrival, our 18 lb toy Aussie was chased down by about 12 dogs, including some who weighed 40 or 50 lbs more than her. It was acvidental, but threatening to her and she was scared. I removed her from the day care in the first 5 minutes.

Never trust Rover, they will not support you if something goes wrong. …
If I could give Hailey and Rover a negative review I would.
I would never trust her to watch my dogs or stay inside my house again.
The first 3 days she only let my dogs outside for 2-3min every 4-6 hours. We have two big dogs, that have lots of energy. We live on 1/2 acre. There is no excuse to not let them out more.
After I told her they needed to be let out for longer and more often she decided it would be a good idea to leave my sliding glass door open for hours!! Mind you she watched our dogs the week of July. The hottest time of the year.
Our dogs pooped/ pee in the house because she was too lazy to let them out more often. Then too also too lazy to let them out and so she decided leaving the sliding glass door open was the answer.
I’m sure when I receive my electric bill it will be through the roof.
An after seeing her clean the mess up, she didn’t wash her hands and processed to go into my fridge to make herself food.
She didn’t wash her hands after cleaning out the dogs water bowls. Her hygiene is awful!
She locked my dogs out of the bedroom because she said they were playing to much in the room. She didn’t have common sense to let them outside to play and let their energy out.
So the dogs chewed through my bedroom door, she just let it happen. Ignoring them for hours.
She didn’t clean up the door wood chips up until the day we were coming back home.
Bottom line is, she doesn’t truly care for dogs, she neglected my dogs, didn’t follow simple instructions. I hope know one has to experience what we went through.
The worse part is that Rover doesn’t cover any of the damage or cost. Even after providing all the appropriate documentation. We spend three days putting together all the video and emailing it over to them, so they had all the prof of how our dogs were treated. We provided photos, text conversation and the order form of the new door.
I spent $779.00 For 8 days. I was only refunded $389.00.
They refuse to give me atleast a full refund.
They will not credit me for the new bedroom door we had to buy. Or partial payment for our electric bill.
I will never use them again and will make sure to warn everyone about ever using them.
I originally choose them, thinking they would support me and have my back if anything like this was to happen. Well I was wrong.
I am better off finding my own dog sitter and paying them directly. Not paying into a company that will never support you.

Couldn’t search by name
The sitters have been great.
Unfortunately the last time I used the service your product would not allow a search by name.
The family that watched Broc were perfect for us but, unfortunately they were booked.
I asked them for a recommendation. Turned out that they Knew Chris. He is the brother and has already been around him.
I could not find him.
You have no way to search for a provider by name.
Bich and I were trying to figure out how to send a recommendation. Because I know I want Chris. She has called Cris he is definitely interested in watching my dog.
Finally Bich messages me a link to Chris. And I was able to book with him.
I would suggest to you that you allow searching by name as well. It would also help you gain business that perhaps you are missing out on from word of mouth recommendations
Ie: hey Lyle I need someone to watch my dog.
I say hey I got just the right family get on rover and look up Bich.
Next day I ask hey we’re you able to get with booked with Bich?
It wouldn’t let me search by name so I gave up and got my aunt.
We think of our pets as family, a personal recommendation from a trusted source counts.

The sitter promised one thing and did…
The sitter promised one thing and did another. She spent very little time at the house with my dog. She did not follow the feeding instructions. She was hired as a house sitter sleepover at my house with my dog. I did not receive the services as promised.

Rover does not have the dog owner's back, at all.
Would give zero stars if I could. Will never use this platform again.
Starting from the beginning, I got a weird vibe about my sitter the morning before I was about to leave for a week long trip. She had not responded to any of my messages and I was concerned that she had ghosted me. I called Rover support to cancel and book with another sitter (on their platform!) and they were very hesitant. They admitted the communication from the sitter was poor, but insisted I reach out yet again to confirm the dropoff. After a lot of anxiety and stress, she finally responded, but only to let me know not to bring too much dog food (wouldn't want to inconvenience her!) I had to ask 3 times for her address.
While on my trip, the sitter sent photos of my dog where he is clearly scared and stressed out: tail between legs, head hung low, facial expression scared. I do not believe my dog stayed in a safe environment. I wish TrustPilot allowed photos because I want the entire world to see. They are disturbing.
When I returned to pick up my dog, the sitter had a random person meet me to hand the dog over. There were several other dogs on the premise that I was not aware of. They had somehow lost my leash, a dog bowl, a bag holder, and a toy. The helper fetched the sitter (who was too important to meet me) from inside the house, who emerged to tell me that she'd "look around for it"
Next day I get a reminder to tip my sitter. Very funny. I reach back out and ask what the status of the leash is. She says her "helper lost it" and that she'd buy me a new one. At this point I'd already bought new stuff. I asked for a reimbursement. She doesn't respond. Of course. I reach out to Rover support AGAIN and they say there is nothing they can do, tell me I need to reach out yet again to my sitter and beg for the money she owes me. At this point I had to bribe her to repay me by saying I would leave her a good review. I finally get a venmo payment for $50. The trip cost $450.
In my opinion, I deserve far more than to be reimbursed for my lost items. My dog was not taken care of well, the sitter was rude, and I should not pay $400 for this crappy service. Predictably, however, Rover was "unable to issue a refund" so I will never truly get justice for this. DO NOT USE ROVER. They do not have your back. If something goes sideways, they force you to resolve things with the sitter, who may or may not drag their feet. I don't know how bad or severe things have to get before Rover does something.
Find a local sitter you trust and cutout the middle man.

I filed a complaint towards the sitter…
I filed a complaint towards the sitter who had my dogs at the beginning of July. I believe my Husky was neglected and abused. I have not heard anything back. The right thing to do is to refund me and put the sitter on probation.
