The sitter we used did not take proper care of our puppy, did not follow instructions, our puppy was so stressed and scared when we got home, his voice was gone, would not recommend them or ever use the service again

I have tried to put this on the boarding site but does not exist in Canterbury. I took my daughters dog to a boarding person 142 Ashford Road just outside Canterbury. I had looked after him a cavalier King Charles 10 months old for a week. I was going away so had to have him housed, my daughter found the boarder. I was concerned when I dropped him off it was an inadequate house to take in dogs. She only let me just in the gate and I tried to tell her what he ate but she seemed so disinterested. 6 days later I picked up a very abused dog. His ears were all matted with, I am not sure with what. I ha had him for a week and he did not need his ears brushing. I had to cut the matts out. He was thin and very obviously had been doped. He slept for the whole afternoon I got him back. He could not eat and was so stressed. it was awful. I had left a lot of food none came back and I had left prebiotics, my daughter had given me in case his stomach was bad. No food was returned and the prebiotics had been used but when my daughter asked why she had used them she said she did not. This person is only in it for the money. I was never happy not to see where a dog was going. a day later he is getting back to himself. I think he was kept in dreadful conditions. Do not leave your dog with this dreadful person. She has no interest in dogs, just money.

The pet sitter we booked through rover lost our dog within hours, since they processed a refund it meant the booking was deleted from our account so that we are not able to leave a review direct on rover. Which is a sneaky move on their part. The pet sitter took nothing to do with it, didn't even apologise despite admitting she left our dog unattended as her hands were full and the situation has been poorly handled by rover. No follow up despite me asking for a call back a few times to ask if the woman's fence was raised etc so the woman can just get on taking too many pets in but we've had all the hassle and stress to deal with very much on our own, so unfortunately wouldn't use or recommend the company and very disappointed that no one comes back to me despite saying they would.

The dog-sitter brought a male into my house after I told her my rescues don’t like men. Then processed to have a fight at midnight in my backyard. Him throwing a beer can yelling F you and watching my dog run away so scared. Customer support has been so kind but we are pretty traumatized by this and still worried he will come back to our house since we turned them in. Our first time using someone not family and such a bad experience.

Pet boarder lost our one dog, twice. Was unaware she was gone. Did not let us know she was missing as we were contacted by good samaritans both times reading our dogs tags. Was not present when we had family member finally pick up our dogs when service terminated. Told we would be refunded and now instead of credit have been double billed through our visa.

If I could leave minus , I did not hesitate. I booked a boarding sitter for my dog from 13 to 23 of August 2 weeks ago. Less than 2 days to my trip sitter made an excuse that her grandfather has passed away so she did cancel my booking. I booked for £20 per night. I paid £230 in total( for service which has been canceled. The rover customer service has sent me an email and said they will refund my money godknows when!) It seems she could find another customer with higher amount so she canceled mine. Anyway less than 2 days to my trip I contacted their customer service while they said if the sitter cancel the booking they will help to replace, the only thing they did just find some sitter double the amount which I paid 2 weeks ago. I wanted to leave a negative feedback for dog sitter Diana-R but I couldn't as there was no option to leave for sitter who cancel. Anyway the website is useless. They do not help their customer.

I still haven’t received my harness that I ordered must be over 4 months ago emails to no avail!
