The Rover app is very intuitive to use - there was only one process (leaving a review of my sitter several days after the sit ended) that I couldn’t figure out, and the support FAQs were all I needed!

I don’t give 5 stars for only one reason. If you book in advance and confirm your booking- Rover takes the money out of your account before services are rendered. This really needs to be fixed because I use Rover a lot and use the same sitter. I like to give her dates in advance to know she has room for my dog. I’ve had money taken out of my account a week before I even left my dog with the sitter.

Lauren was great and came highly recommended. That was the best thing as there are so many dog sitters to choose from and we have senior dogs that need a bit more attention on that level. Lauren was great... she picked up and dropped off the dogs. She came to the house for a meet-n-greet with the dogs. She was gentle, we were able to show her some of their quirks and get a better understanding of each other. Rover facilitates all of this nicely.

I like that with Rover I can see multiple people in my area for services and can compare prices for different sitters. I like the background checks are done and I can see real reviews from verified stays for sitters I am considering. I was extremely thankful I was able to find someone last minute due to an emergency with my dad. We needed someone to look after his 2 dogs for a few days after he went into the hospital suddenly and the sitter we used was amazing and so kind about the situation. The only issue I have noticed with Rover is the easy of use for their app and website. It is not always the most user friendly and can make things confusing sometimes when trying to book a service. And the pricing is not always clear up front until you send a request to a sitter and then look at the breakdown for it. Needs better up front total cost view before sending a request.

I get way too many emails from Rover once I joined. The service works pretty well, except I had to winnow information on whether cats were part of a provider's service.

I'm thankful to have found a great pet and home sitter thru the Rover app. It seems that the fees taken from the customer and the care giver seem too high. Taking money from the caregiver when they are working for their money seems inappropriate. I understand placing a fee on the customer to cover advertising is appropriate.

Rover was able to put me in touch w/a applicable sitter for my cat. However, it is very expensive. I don't think the sitter gets much of what I paid Rover.
