Never again, unreliable and unpredictable sitters …
We booked this service paid for this service and when the day came that we had booked the sitter ignored our calls and messages and we were stuck without a sitter for our 2 dogs. This service is unreliable and unpredictable. We will never use this again. We are out $230 dollars. We suggest to others to be very careful if you use this service and a better idea is to go to a local boarder who is reliable.

Terrible policy and customer service, will never use them again!
I canceled like 1 hour too late so the sitter kept $80 for absolutely nothing. I canceled with the sitter directly and they were aware of the situation, but I didn't cancel with rover until later because our dog started throwing up and we were trying to figure out if we needed to cancel our vacation.
Response from Rover.com | Pet SittingSep 30, 2023
Hi Joseph. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. Your booking was refunded in accordance with your sitter’s cancellation policy. Keep in mind that sitters are independent business owners and have the freedom to set cancellation policies that best fit their business. Last-minute cancellations can disrupt a sitter’s schedule and availability, and policies like these ensure the stability of their business. While we’re unable to override a sitter’s policy without their permission, you’re welcome to discuss a potential refund with the sitter. If they’re willing to offer you a further refund, please have your sitter contact us at 888-453-7889 and we’ll handle the rest.

Poor
I've already told Rover about my experience and all the issues. One was: sitter agreed to 2 walks a day for 9 days. Dogs got 2 each total...other issues Rover is aware.

Very scary experience without support
Very bad experience, I only need 1 day because I have a personal problem and I need to drive 5 hours away I book a hotel so I can rest the night have a breakfast and come back. I ended driving overnight with my family because the lady wanted me to pick up the dog because she argued that the dog was barking. I was concerned for my puppy because he never did that before and I didn’t have any support from Rover

I probably should have read the reviews…
I probably should have read the reviews before using the services of Rover.com. Their website claims 24 hour support if any issues come up. That is simply not true. They have an automated system that loops you back around with automated responses. I had to wait more than 20 hours for an email response that did not even get my issue correct. The pet sitter I hired through their site cancelled on short notice and I was left up in the air with NO sitter. Their customer service could not have cared less. No referrals to back up options, no empathy for me or my pet, and no direct human contact. Only vague emails directing me to use their website. This company does not give a $#*! about the people or animals they claim to care so much about. Simply put, way too many other options out there to put your pet's health and safety into Rovers hands. Please do not utilize any of their misrepresented services.
