SCAM! Waited nearly 4 weeks and my profile for pet sitting has yet to be approved. Don't bother wasting your time and save your $35. I regret trying services with Rover and will never try again.

We have used Rover for 3 years for our 2 poms. There have 2 walkers that didn't work out but the sisters were great up until last October. We used a sitter that we've used before with no known problems. This time chicken bones were left where one of our 14 years old pom could get them. He must have eaten a lot of them because 10 days later they were still in his stomach. The problem is that this type of issue doesn't present a problem for days. He didn't become noticeably ill for 10 days. A week after 2 trips to Vets, Sam became lethargic and we took him to th ER. Rover's policy covers 30 days from the time of occurrence. This sitter's mistake has cost our pet's health and $6000+, $4600 of which is out of their 30 window by 3 days. My advice is to fully interview any sitter and make sure you believe they understand that dogs can't eat certain things. Also, thoroughly read the policies. Better yet, if you can just take your pet with you.

Clearly the housing situation of the sitters are not checked out. I was happy with the sitter but not with the living conditions. Unfortunatly I was unable to change due to my travel arrangements. Will not use Rover again.

BEWARE! We've used Rover a number of times and have been quite happy... UNTIL... There was an EMERGENCY and the dog sitter could no long take care of our dog mid stay. We were overseas and received message. We had no one else that could look after our dog, hence using the service. This is where Rover fell to pieces. It felt like they had never dealt with an emergency situation before. No apparent procedures, or clear back up options. Just utter confusion, frustration and incompetence. Keep 'What if' scenarios in mind when booking this service. I can't trust it again after what we went through with the platform!

Not impressed. We used Rover the first time about 2 years ago and had a great experience, the girl that watched our 2 dogs and 2 cats was great. Not sure what has changed in the last 2 years, but we've tried using Rover twice now in the last couple months and we have talked with multiple care givers in our area and we set up an appointment for them to come out for a meet and greet to make sure "they" and "us" feel comfortable. 5 times now we have people cancel our meet and greets with time ticking to figure something out with vacations approaching quickly. Some of them just never showed up and others came up with lame excuses hours before we were suppose to meet. We will not be using Rover again and they need to hold there caregivers more responsible. How can anyone trust the care givers are going to show up and take care of your pets if they cant even show up for a meet and greet. Sad Rover.. Do Better! Kevin

What I like best about Rover is that a pet owner can chose from a list of dog-sitters the person who best fits their individual needs. My pets, and my own, needs might not be entirely the same as yours. Picking the right person for my dogs gives me piece of mind that they are in the best care I can provide for them while I am away from them, and makes for a much better vacation, etc.. Their platform is easy to use, guarantees of emergency care and quick customer service make this a 5-star review.

I usually don't write complaints, but I cannot handle this issue. I cannot judge as to the service of Rover.com because I couldn't get passed the "getting started" section. It appears my phone number has been previously registered. I attempted to reset my password with the phone number, but no password reset was sent by Rover. I utilized my only personal account and again, no password reset was sent by Rover. I called customer service and they said to go ahead and try any and all personal emails to see which one actually provides the reset option. Who has time for that? And what if my prior email is now deactivated? She could not search by my cellular number and I cannot get passed the getting started without my cell number. Totally stuck in limbo with no help from Customer Service. Will never use Rover, not even if I get passed the initial set up.

Booked my dog in with a boarder who's inexperience led her to over react when an incident of her own making occurred (she put stranger and different sized dogs into a run at the same time and lost control of the situation that unfolded). Rover failed to step in and help which nearly led to the cancellation of our vacation. When the dust settled instead of apologizing for not helping resolve the situation (I got passed to a different team 3 times before the line went dead) they decided off this one incident (that was again a handler error, not my dog's fault) to suspend and cancel our account. Our dog got injured which was the complete fault of the dog boarder but somehow the narrative got changed to the issue being one of our puppy's behavior. I was very nice to the inexperienced dog boarder, she got hurt putting her hands in to the situation and her small dog was shaken up. Some people need to learn/gain experience the hard way sadly and this was certainly one of those occasions. I am mostly annoyed with how Rover handled it more than I am annoyed with what took place. I obviously wouldn't be using Rover again after this so their cancelling our account is of little impact. The injury to my dog has all but healed so no major drama there either, just be aware that Rover don't really know what's going on and do not solve issues if/when things go wrong.
