The house/dog/car sitter we hired left her husband at our place and he decided to have a party. We had to call my brother and the police to do a welfare check on my animals. My dog is very sensitive to loud noise and isn’t a fan of strangers. There were about 15 people in my house that I didn’t know. I didn’t approve of a party nor did I approve of her husband staying at my house. He took it upon himself to use our system to play excessively loud music. My brother arrived at my house around 5:30am and kicked everyone out. I’m 5000 miles away and felt completely helpless. Thank goodness my brother was there and is currently caring for my pets. There is now an investigation into the sitter. I’ve asked for a full refund. I was charged an early cancellation fee. Which I should not be paying as I fired the sitter because of what they did. I suggest being very thorough when interviewing the sitter. I thought we did and we were fooled.

Some of your sitters have misleading profiles. They will show that they have a house when in fact they live in an apartment. Many state they have experience but in turn they don’t. Also you have sitters who say they’re available but when you book they don’t respond. The app is also a pain to use at times when trying to connect with your sitter.

Sauf que maintenant je suis dans l'incapacité totale de supprimer DÉFINITIVEMENT mon compte. Je tombe sur une plate-forme en anglais qui ne fait rien. Bref vous cracher sur respect des données.. personnelles. Merci de me dire qui contacter pour que je disparaisse de vos bases.

The pet sitter was *wonderful*!!!! Perfect and *wonderful*!!! However, Rover.com then, after the service, placed dozens of unauthorized charges on my credit card leading the bank to freeze it which has caused total havoc. My card is frozen and I can't use it for bills or groceries, and the Rover.com "support" page offers only questions that Rover.com seems to *want* to answer, nothing like resolving fraudulent charges which should be right at the top! the live person on the other end of the phone at the support phone # doesn't seem to have a lot of information about the financial details or how to handle the existence of all these fraudulent charges.

I DON'T WANT my credit card information stored there. It would be great if Rover had an option to remove a card, but it's ONLY possible if you have another card on file! How ridiculous! Because of that I give 1 star. The sitters so far have been very good and I'd give 5 stars.

I’m writing this as a sitter and to let people know to not expect the payment after 2 days as Rover tells you, this is a joke only to have an advantage over Pawshake. You’ll receive money after 7 days and they’ll tell you that your bank is to blame.

The site charged me for an address change.

I picked my dog up from the “sitter” he has been with for 10 days and immediately rushed him to the emergency vet due to him screaming in pain when I tried to pet him. This sitter claimed he had been acting normal and that she was not aware of any injuries. Multiple bite wounds were discovered at the vet and he required stitches. These wounds had been present for at least a couple of days according to the doctor. Any competent pet care giver would have known something was wrong, he was clearly in distress. I find it interesting that there was no blood noted on his fur, which leads me to believe the wounds were attempted to be hidden from me. I don’t know how anyone could allow an animal to suffer like that, or what she was trying to gain by hiding it from me. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life and I have been disgusted thinking about my dog suffering for days and no one helping him. I would also like to note when I confronted the sitter with photos of the wound I did not even receive an apology, which would have been the LEAST she could have done. She should have apologized, issued me an immediate refund, and offered to pay the entire ER bill out of her pocket. Not only was my dog neglected for days, but the sitter showed zero empathy for the situation. She also only sent me 3 photos while I was gone, 2 of which I had to reach out for. Again, I was gone for 10 days. I will say Rover support has been great helping me resolve this situation so far. Unfortunately, I have to stick with the one star review despite how great the customer service is because this experience has truly been devastating.
