I started using Rover in 2025 for help with my kitties while I am out of town. I have had positive experiences with everything from technical assistance to the sitters I hired. The communication is excellent and pictures are always sent of my cats. I finally feel confident when leaving my cats in the care of a Rover sitter.

I've never used a pet sitter service. It was a last-minute idea and Rover.com made it a very easy process! I scrolled thru, read reviews and found a GREAT pet sitter for my crazy lil dog. I would for sure do it again!

Great experience with our sitter. Finding her and hiring her was simple; communication during our dog’s stay there was great. However, besides the pay for the sitter there was a fee for Rover. This was reasonable. But later I found out that in addition to the fee that the customer is charged, the sitter is charged 20%. This seems like too much to me and I have her a tip to compensate. I feel that this isn’t good business practice on Rover’s part.

For owners, the Rover booking fee is an 11% fee finalized at checkout based on the options and preferences selected for the booking, including dates, number of pets, duration, and any add-ons or discounts. For sitters and walkers, Rover applies a 20% service fee per booking, which means you take home 80% of your earnings. Our fees support 24/7 customer service, trust and safety, site maintenance, and sitter benefits, including payment processing and promotions. They also fund our Rover Guarantee for peace of mind.
