I booked a dog walker, Alana B on Rover and she did not turn up, even though I confirmed with her the day before that she was definitely coming. I had back to back meetings, so when she rudely did not show up, with no explanation, I had no one to walk my dog. She then deleted the booking. I reported this on the app and they have done nothing about it and she is still on the app (probably letting down more dog owners) I would strongly advise that you do not use this app as they are clearly just interested in money rather than the welfare of dogs…

Would not recommend rover! if you want to make sure you have a reliable honest sitter. I was looking for a sitter for our 11 week old pup as he was unable to go out due to his injections so I was looking for someone for 2 days per week. I met a sitter who seemed very nice and we arranged times for her to look after our pup. The day she was due in I checked the camera and she was not there. I messaged her only to be told she was stuck in a meeting and she didnt know what time she would finish?!! The fact that she was willing to leave a little puppy in the crate and not tell me that she was running late and was hoping I wouldn't find out was disgusting! I had to cancel work and go home due to her negligence. She was very apologetic but she clearly wasn't competent to look after any dogs if she was willing to leave them for that amount of time! What sort of person does that to an animal? Rover did reimburse me and gave me a credit however her profile is still on there so there was no repercussions for her actions! Not good enough! I then thought id met another sitter who I thought maybe would have been competent however I then get a message saying it would be her and her boyfriend that would be sitting not just her alone! When it doesn't mention that in her profile! I immediately said absolutely not! This website has no reliable,honest,experienced dog sitters on there and I am appalled by the experience I've had. Definitely avoid at all costs!!

Y por qué notienen -5 todos los cuidadores que contacte ponían disponibilidades que luego no tenían me hicieron llevar una perra al otro lado de la ciudad andando para verla y decirme que quería cobrar por fuera de la aplicación para luego dejarme tirado cobran una barbaridad de comisión y además los muy capullos van y suspenden mi cuenta por qué el desgraciado que me dejó tirado me denunció para que yo no lo hiciera y van los muy listos y después de explicar lo ocurrido me siguen dejando la cuenta suspendida esta aplicación solo sirve para marear y quedarte con dinero retenido en la tarjeta esperando que lo libere el banco por qué encima para reservar tienes que pagar

I contacted Rover and an agreement was made to care for three of my dogs. The dates were from March 14 -March 18. Well on March 15 I receive texts stating the Pet Sitter lost my dog!!!!!!! My dog was placed in a separate shed with a locked door. The sitter claims she locked the door and she doesnt know how Melanie got out. Goddamn Liar!!!! I furnished Rover 4 sequential videos confirming the sitter was liable for my dogs dissapearance due to her NEGLECT!!!! First video shows Shamonica pass my front steps. Then 2 hours later my Ringbell alerted me and I see Melanie sitting on the front steps!!!! Second video 2 hours later shows me that Melanie os still just sitting on my front steps!! Third and fourth video shows a stranger knocking on my door trying to let me know my dog is left unattended!!!! I am LIVID cause I entrusted staff working with Rover as knowledgeable to say the least. Adding insult to injury and confirming negligence was on behalf of Rover I am being told there is nothing that can be done. I'm contacting BBB and every other affiliate until a fair resolution is made. I will NEVER use Rover again!!!!!!

Rover says it has home boarders/pet sitters all fully checked etc. Home boarders and pet sitters are NOT the same thing. Most councils require home boarders to be licensed but Rover are recommending people who are not licensed or checked, or inspected in any way. This means any insurance will not be valid. The Law States ''You may be fined an unlimited amount or imprisoned for up to 6 months if you provide or arrange boarding for cats or dogs without a licence or do not follow the conditions of your licence.'' Please be very careful who you leave your dog with This company is very irresponsible. Its all about the money it seems. It should be a matter for trading standards at the very least - and of course local authorities

Our pet sitter hardly walked the dogs and had people coming and going into our home at all hours. I was unaware that Rover only does ID checks and doesn’t do any sort of background or reference checks. The sitter had 5 stars and is still listed on Rover. I would highly recommend you do your own reference checks.

Rover interface is HORRIBLE!!! I love my pet sitter. But schedule changes via Rover are a complete and utter hassle. I used the system to cancel an appointment (BOTH the website and using a link they sent me to confirm via text), but to no avail. This confused my sitter and I have now wasted an hour trying to get things sorted out with Rover. Will things get better now that PE owns Rover? I am skeptical.

I cancelled my account with Rover as I object to them taking 15%. Now I am unable to contact my customers with whom I became friends. That's an illegal restrictive practice. 17/03/2024. So it transpires that Rover assign a mobile number to each user and they control the use of that number, every call and text goes through Rover. When you call or text the assigned number it connects to the customer's number but you're not to know. If you want to contact a customer you have to get their personal mobile number.
