Hi Patty, Thank you again for taking great care of Stella for a 1st-time pet sitting on 8/25/22. All those 5 star reviews were accurate that you have a special way with dogs & pets and you proved it by having Stella sleeping soundly nearby you by the end of the night. I have to admit, knowing how she she can be with virtual strangers in her space..I was pleasantly surprised. I'm sorry we weren't able to coordinate our schedules to meet in person or chat beforehand. I was nervous about that, to be honest. However, you were always very timely and communicative in replying to all my messages through the Rover app and that went a long way to asuaging some of my own first-time jitters. Rover was a easy site to use, loads of doggy carers in my area so plenty of choice, the carer I went with looked after my pooch so well & I got loads of updates on how his stay with her was going, deffinetly reccomend rover

Sitters fab, Rover site for iPhone is not user friendly. I love our doggie daycare provider but navigating the Rover site on my phone could be more user friendly. Like where do I give a tip for the sitter? Actually I don't know how to do that on the site itself or the rover app.

Having a set time the walker would come over would be great. But other than that we have been very happy with our person. Our dog loves her.

Great app for finding someone near you when you need them. Some right dodgy characters on there but managed to suft through and find a eonderful girl to have our dogs and treated them like royalty. Would recommend but definitely meet up a few times and give all info about your dogs.

The one time I’ve used the app, my sitter was amazing. She did everything I asked for my dog, walked her, sent me updates, everything. I can’t say enough about how awesome she was. Unfortunately she isn’t available over the holidays and it has been impossible to find someone else. I have reached out to several people, all of whom state that they’re unsure they’re taking dogs over the holidays, yet they show they’re available on the dates I need. It is very frustrating to spend time messaging multiple sitters who show they are available, just to get a response like “I understand you want to nail this down but I’m not sure I’ll be taking clients over the holidays so I’m probably not a good fit for you.” It seems the sitter’s calendar availability is very unreliable and I’m at the point of looking at boarding facilities because there are so many people who show they’re available but they aren’t.

Rover is a wonderful resource for searching pet-sitters in your area who offer a variety of services. As with any other service, it is advisable to scrutinize petsitter bios as well as reviews and repeat customers. Zero in on several petsitters in your area who meet your needs. It is then very important to set up a "Meet and Greet" with the sitters to meet you and your pet and assess the petsitters environment if your pet will be boarding at their house. Don't be bashful about asking any questions for which you need answers. See how well the sitter connects with your pet. It's certainly okay to try out different sitters to learn which one is the best match. Just like any other service, there are excellent petsitters and there are those that are less than good. Do your homework and trust your gut.
