The river app was not intuitive when telling when to end the weekly pet care

There were many choices of pet sitters for us to choose from. I like that there are reviews to see what others thought. I like that certain sitters are certified by Rover. Our sitter was amazingly friendly and accommodating. Flexible with drop offs and pick ups. Our dog seemed to like him. He was taken out for a walk during his visit. The only thing I was surprised about were the fees Rover charged; those were not disclosed. Also, I didn't realize that Rover kept 20% of the sitter's fee. I think that's a lot coupled with the fees charged to the owner.

The sitter, Shannon, was great and very communicative during the pup's stay. I'd give a 5 star review, but Rover is a little to persistent with the constant emails. Other than that, very happy!

I've only used Rover once but i had a good experience. The person hired to walk my dog was great.

The booking app was a little confusing and difficult to navigate thus the 4 stars but my lady who took care of my cat was 5 stars all the way!

Nice selection of pet owners & services to choose from. Messaging section does split up what you text fully leading to some confusion at times. Overall good app. Would recommend

I like the whole idea of Rover. My experience with the dog sitter I had the one time I have used the service was excellent. However, I feel like I am being stalked by Rover now that it is done. I have received about 5 emails everyday since i have signed into Rover. I am unsubscribing from them every chance I get, but they still keep coming. I would not mind receiving emails once in a while, but it appears that the marketing folks seem to have decided that users must be bombarded with communication.

We have had good experiences with three different sitters found on Rover. (A fourth, which was actually our first, didn't turn out well, but we tried again and did better!) It makes sense to meet any sitter before you leave your dog with them, but you get enough info from Rover to make a reasonable choice in who to interview. Repeat bookings are a good sign, as are lots of positive (verified) reviews. If you think about what's important to you, and interview candidates that meet your criteria, you are likely to come up with someone trustworthy and kind.
