This site used to be okay years ago, but now it is full of strange individuals that seem clueless about pets and pet sitting. We had one forget a pan of raw meat (for the cats) in our microwave for a week while we were on vacation. When we returned, it really smelled like someone died and was rotting away in our house. The last time, the sitter talked and talked about how he and his partners were professional trainers, etc., but then acted like my Doberman puppy was defective because she was afraid when she got to their place. I called two (real) trainers after that, and both said duh, it's a fear period, all puppies have them, and all Dobermans are velcro anyway. Finally, we found a great local sitter service, and I went to Rover.com to cancel my account, and they make it not only very obscure, but the button they make you click to get to their "Privacy Center" where you are supposed to delete your account does not work - AT ALL. I tried both of the pages they give on their website that contain the link to delete your account (not allowed to list links here), on two different browsers, clicked all the links they give to the Privacy Center on both of these pages, and NONE of the links on either page work. I wasted an hour of my life today doing this, and calling customer service, and doing a live chat with a Rover agent, and they all just kept repeating I need to click this stupid link. Well, if none of your 3 links to the Privacy Center work on any browser, I am now convinced this is by design so they can keep selling your data forever. Once we abandoned Rover.com, we found a great sitter business through a local grooming salon, and they are excellent. Don't sign up for this scam of a service, just find a good local sitter business and stick with them. Your dog will thank you.

Je suis gardienne sur Rover depuis quelques années. J’ai eu de nombreux problèmes à être payée. J’ai encore une fois pas été payé par Rover et leur délais est grandement dépassé. Après 4h avec le service à la clientèle, ils n’ont toujours pas d’explications, refuse de m’envoyer mon argent d’une autre façon et sont incapables de me dire quand le problème sera réglé. Sans compter qu’ils ne semblent pas enregistrer au registre des entreprises. Ils refusent de donner leur adresse, ce qui est illégal ici. Ils sont dans l’obligation de le faire. C’est pas la peine de répondre que vous êtes désolé et de vous contacter. J’ai déjà perdu bien trop de temps avec vous …!

Really poor. Got replies from 3 sitters to say they were available. It’s for my wedding day, normally would only leave my dog with family so nervous anyway about using a sitter. After initial reply, they were really slow In replying to arrange meet and then at the last minute clash with dates, latest one was stuck in Sunday traffic, making them nearly 4 hour late for appointment. If they can’t be relied on and professional enough to sort out meets I definitely won’t trust them to look after my precious dog.

Terrible App, I created a whole profile for dog sitting. I then had a request for doggy day care come through on email and I couldn't respond as it said I needed to update my password, which I tried to do. I then contacted support and they said my account had been deactivated, with no explanation as to why. I've now lost my profile, pictures, reviews, booking requests. I wouldn't waste your time with this app.

Ho fatto la cat Sitter per diversi mesi e ho sempre avuto recensioni bellissime dai padroni dei gatti. Non ho mai accettato prenotazioni al di fuori della piattaforma ma ho sempre acconsentito ad incontrarci prima per dare tranquillità alle persone che vogliono lasciarmi i loro piccoli. Ieri mi arriva una mail che non posso prendere accordi al di fuori della piattaforma ,ho spiegato che ho preso accordi per vederci prima del pagamento COME HO SEMPRE FATTO ma che tutto il resto avviene secondo le regole. Mi scrivono di non preoccuparmi che era un messaggio automatico. Oggi mi trovo l account cancellato ..con tutti gli appuntamenti cancellati senza poter nemmeno chiedere scusa alle persone o spiegare loro l accaduto. Questo è orribile.

This would have been a five star experience except Rover sends you tons of spam emails, and you can't mark them as spam because then you might miss a message from your dog sitter. No, I don't want to buy pet insurance. No, I don't want to take your survey. No, I don't want to recommend a friend. I just needed a dog sitter.

Fuyez Rover !!! Ils traitent les pet sitter comme des chiens et suspendent leurs comptes au grès de leurs envies . Ils sont du coté des propriétaires par vent et marées et ne cherchent absolument pas a vous défendre . Pour ma part j’ai eu mon compte suspendu 3 fois car on s'était plains de moi sans aucune raison valable . Je vous déconseille vivement rover les personnes derrières sont inhumaines et n’ont aucune considération pour les pet sitter. Sincèrement ils ne méritent pas qu’on leur rapporte de l’argent . Ce sont vraiment des personnes sans considération .

First, let me say the rover sitters are kind and dedicated people that love animals. If only the company was as caring as their sitters and walkers. I have used Rover for years. I booked a new sitter as my normal sitters were out of town. When discussing drop off I made sure I could see the place they would be to ensure it was safe. The sitter said no. I have never had that happen before. Rovers own help site points out if the sitter won’t let you see the dog’s temporary home it’s a red flag and don’t book. I cancelled and rebooked a new ( and more expensive ) sitter where that was not an issue. I was not refunded. I contacted customer service and they said the only recourse was to contact the sitter I didn’t feel safe leaving my dog’s with directly and if she agreed, they would process a refund. So if you don’t feel safe their policy is to contact the party that made you unsafe. This is an absolutely terrible customer service policy. They can see in my account I had a past issue where a sitter’s place and home were so bad I filed a complaint and she offered to pay me to take down my negative review. I used to use rover every time I traveled. I won’t again after this.
