Useful tool to make contact with sitters in your area, but communication function is clunky and is not a separate tab, so regular updates that sitters provide are not easy to find, buried amongst booking info.

Rover made it easy to find a great petsitter, schedule meetings, and get into contact. The Rover card allowed me to stay updated on my dog by letting my sitter give him a replrt card and upload photos. The only reason Rover doesn't get 5 stars is because they cap tipping at 30% even though the sitter gets 100% of the money. It's none of the company's business if I want to tip more and it's frusrating to have to go off app to ensure my sitter is taken care of in the way I wish.

I think it's difficult at first navigating Rover and finding the right person to watch your pet. I would follow this advice: Find people with reviews or references. Ask if a ahead of time meet and greet is possible. Communicate well.

Used Rover for the first time, for 2 drop-in visits per day, for 3 days. Met with Andi beforehand and very impressed with her, felt comfortable. Our 3 day trip turned into 5 with a flight cancellation, and Andi was able to accommodate us. We could not be more grateful for this service and the quality personnel. We would not hesitate to book Rover, and Andi if she’s available.

Kind of disappointed with insurance coverage. Owner of the dog has to pay up to 250$ deductible. My dog was bit by bug during the pet care. Pet sitter did a great job of taking my dog to vet. Thankful for the pet sitter ( Natalia). Rover dint cover the visit. I have to pay 150$ out of my pocket.

I have had generally good experiences with the people who have taken care of my dog for a day, and the stay with Lucy was not exception. The sitters have communicated well and taken good care of my dog. I do get frustrated with the booking process. Calendars often show a sitter as available, but it turns out they are not. The mechanics of the app also seem to leave something to be desired (maybe it's just me). I would like to be able to filter on certain things (e.g., find a sitter who has a dog or is in a specific town), but haven't been able to figure out how to do that. I also can not figure out how to cancel or delete a request that was not booked.

Very helpful in finding a pet sitter. Automated system is not easy to use; not intuitive and limited online instruction for users.
