I took my dog to a sitter that made my dog have hacking problems afterwards she paired my 10lb yorkie poo with another medium sized dog when her profile never stated that she will have more than one dog at a time. It clearly said one dog at a time and she didnt follow directions made my dog suffer from traquea collapse.

I didn't knew that my dog was going to be alone or in a care of someone else but not the guy that i booked, also i left my dogs bed and when we pick him up the bed smell like pee, also he didn't return the toys and last the person in the house was someone else not the same guy we make the deal with

Es la primera vez que utilizo Rover y como aplicación y atención al cliente mi valoración sería de 5 estrellas, pero lamentablemente contacté con una cuidadora y después de hacer el pago, cuando tenía que venir a casa no se presentó. Me puse en contacto con Atención al Cliente y ellos cancelaron y me ofrecieron el reembolso y 10 euros x las molestias. He contactado con otra cuidadora, no volveré a reservar hasta no conocerla en persona. La cuidadora informal es Beatriz M. Espero que esta vez todo salga bien.

The person we hired through Rover had her boyfriend there the whole time on an overnight stay. We only approved for him to bring over dinner. Instead he stayed the whole time and they ate a ton of our food. They also left before we got home and before the agreed upon time. Leaving our dog alone who suffers from High anxiety when left alone. That is why we used Rover. Anna and her boyfriend were about as unprofessional as you can get.

The pet sitter was paid $100/ day to pet and house sit, for 22 days. She brought her own dog. Upon return, the stench was unbearable. My rug had to be thrown out bc it was saturated with urine. She claimed it did not smell when I she left that morning. According to neighbors and street videos, and aligning with her reports, she walked the dogs only twice. One dog upon my return was depressed for days (the one she was pretty clear she did not like). Did not send daily photos.(one random text: “your dogs bark too much”). She did not change the hummingbird feeders even though I left three jars with a pitcher to ease pouring. Many plants were dead, and the ones I purchased a plastic watering pail for were literally crispy; she parked her car right next to them. The floor was filthy; I ran the vacuum and it was choking full of her dog’s hair. ( I have a short hair and non-shedding breed). And I’m missing about twenty-thirty dollars (replacement cost) of my nicer Tupperware. Rover reached out but did not offer to do any more than review her listing. Not even $20 to compensate for purchasing replacement rugs and Tupperware. I will NEVER use Rover again. The sitter told me she specializes in long term gigs. I think she squats in others’ homes and seems to be a bit of a con artist. I am Resisting the urge to file small claims but trying to just forget this happened. Rover did not do enough to make me feel better.

I thought I was getting a credit for the one day meet and greet that didn't happen

They recently stopped insurance coverage and will make the client responsible for all injuries or accidents to the fur animal. Money grabbing at its best

I did not meet the young man who was taking care of my dog at his home before hand. He had his 14 year old brother meet me when I dropped my dog off to stay. He said he had a family dinner. Not acceptable. He also did not have a yard for my dog to play and run in. I had to keep texting him everyday to send pictures and give me updates and to remind him to feed and walk my dog. He also did not follow my instructions on food and he sent me home with almost all of the treats and the dog food. I picked up my dog a day earlier because I did not feel comfortable leaving him there. He also sent me home with dirty dig bowl. I had to return the following day because he forgot to give the dog bowls and his toy.
