I found the pet sitter on Rover and at Socorro, NM
I found the pet sitter on Rover and at first we communicated through Rover. Being new at this I followed her lead and did not realize it hadn’t been booked through Rover. Kaylie G. In Socorro NM turned into a disaster. Out of the eight days I hired her for, she only showed up 3 times. My cats went without for three days straight. I had cameras. When I complained to Rover that she was using them to make contact and then bypassing, and the results, they did nothing but throw out, repeatedly, how committed they were. She is still listed.

Be careful when signing up
I had a deeply frustrating experience trying to register with this platform. I was charged a profile review and background check fee before I had even submitted my profile. This charge was taken from my bank without my consent to proceed, as I hadn’t completed the necessary steps to enter the review process. When I contacted the company to resolve the issue, I was met with repeated, generic replies that failed to acknowledge the facts. Despite multiple messages and clear evidence that no review had taken place, they have refused to refund the fee or take accountability. I have now requested permanent deletion of my data and escalated the matter but haven't heard back from them. Be very cautious when engaging with this company when they're so quick and efficient to take your money but delay the process of resolving any issues in any way they can, including ghosting their customers altogether.

However, as our background checks are run through a third party, they are non refundable. I have been a sitter for this company…
I have been a sitter for this company for 14 months. (Iver 162 bookings) I have now put my services on pause due to shocking service they have provided my clients and me as a sitter. Do not use!

Ho prenotato una passeggiata per il mio cane e, nonostante avessi avuto conferma di disponibilità dalla dog sitter, questa non si è presentata all'appuntamento. Ho chiamato il servizio clienti facendo presente l'accaduto e, come risposta (oltre al dovuto rimborso) mi hanno detto che avrei dovuto contattare più Dog sitter. Il suo messaggio per avvisare che aveva avuto un imprevisto mi è stato inviato solo dopo 45 minuti dopo la mia chiamata al servizio clienti. Ora sul sito non ho più possibilità di lasciare la recensione per qs persona inaffidabile e risulta che è stata lei a cancellare la prenotazione con un giorno di anticipo.

I had a very bad experience with a…
I had a very bad experience with a "Star Sitter" from Rover. She trashed my house, she took alcohol from my house, barely gave my pets basic care or comfort in their home, left my doors unlocked the entire visit as well as left the gate to my backyard open. I've been trying to resolve this issue with Rover for about five days now and while they have been communicating with me, the issue is still ongoing. I don't feel hopeful about a resolution that I will be satisfied with. Honestly, when I texted Rover about this, they informed me, "As you know the sitters that offer their pet sitting services on the platform are Independent Business Owners and not Employees of Rover. If an incident is reported to us either by a pet sitter or a pet owner during a booking, we step in as a third party to conduct a holistic review of the booking." To me, that spells copout.

Poor experience
My dogs got out twice and I was not notified. A gentleman found them and called me.

Your fees are as much as the caregivers rates, i get capitalism but that’s ridiculous

I booked a pet sitter who cancelled, she already had my address and the dates I would be out of town so I was not happy about this.
I booked a pet sitter and a couple days later she canceled on me. Then, of course I had to find someone else, but the worst thing is I still got charged for it and I’m trying to get my money back. Also she already had my address and knew the dates I would be out of town.
