I’m a provider. The fees they charge are insane. 20%!!! It’s a needed service but if they charged less you’d have less direct bookings between providers and clients.

For owners, the Rover booking fee is an 11% fee finalized at checkout based on the options and preferences selected for the booking, including dates, number of pets, duration, and any add-ons or discounts. For sitters and walkers, Rover applies a 20% service fee per booking, which means you take home 80% of your earnings. Our fees support 24/7 customer service, trust and safety, site maintenance, and sitter benefits, including payment processing and promotions. They also fund our Rover Guarantee for peace of mind. My pet sitter was very thorough and…
My pet sitter was very thorough and efficient. Also very trustworthy. My only hesitation was that I didnt know she spoke another language and did not speak English. I feel it should have been stated in her bio. I was concerned that she may not have understood instructions, but in the end it all worked out. Communication was an issue.

Great service, Great caretaker!
Love the service of finding the person to watch my cat, thank you! Your web site is not often easy to navigate. My cat caretaker was awesome, and we felt comfortable with her in our home and caring for Smoky. Again, love your service and this is my 2nd time hiring.

It’s contacts!
The contacts of course, but more importantly it is the vetting and reviews and ratings as well as pictures. This combination of things make it more comfortable to book our special doggie family members with. The ones we used were pretty much as advertised and we were very satisfied with those sitters. The web site could be a bit better and clear on how it all works, but we got it under control rather quickly and it worked for us.

Navigating schedule was difficult
I had a more complicated schedule request, needed a 30,60,30,60 min visits & it was difficult to complete the request so I had to book sitter a few times to get it right. However our sitter was amazing, I will 100% use Rover again!! The result was worth it!

It was easy to find providers in my…
It was easy to find providers in my area and to get a sense of who they are and my cost before I reach out to them. I liked seeing their ratings too. I didn't realize at first that I was not responding to my provider, I was responding to the Rover emails, so that took a bit to figure out.
