Haley, so happy we were able help! And thank you for reaching out to us about the shipping damage. A lot of our coops take longs trips to their new home. Damage happens every now and again, but we are always willing and ready to fix parts that took some bumps along the way. Thanks for the review... Love to share with you our feedback from others about battling the elements. With livestock (which your girls are) it’s a balancing act in every season. Just rest knowing your girls are a lot tougher than we give them credit for. Reach out if you want to [email protected]

Thank you for the feedback. Chickens make us look good. They’re amazingly reliable business partners. Heat is a much bigger issue for them than cold, you’ll / they’ll make it through winter. They just do. As for water freezing... it’s a tough nut. Our heated waterers were out in our first 4 years of business and reliably protected down into the low 20’s or teens. Trying to get better, we invented and patented our freeze guard poultry nipple and version 1 reliably got people down to something like 0F . This year, we released V2 trying to improve again. It’s part keeping the water from freezing and part keeping the nipple flowing. If you want to email me (Montie) through our website I can talk to you about cold weather some more. I’ll lose the freezing water battle, but I want to lose as low as we can. As for hens and temps... we know for fact our coops are used every season for past 6 years where it get 20 below or even more and we hear great feedback. Trick is to let your birds “feather up” the way they would naturally. We also released this year an improved snow panel retainer twist lock clip. If your coop wasn’t delivered with them, we’ll gladly send you some free of charge to “upgrade” your existing panels. Just contact us.
