We received our huge and beautiful walkthrough coop with the sunroom. It was a full 20 hours to put it together but my marriage survived! It is the envy of all my farmer friends. My only suggestion would be to have a much better installation video particularly about how to add the sunroom and some of the wood pieces should have been sanded. A few were really rough and caused splinters.

THE ONLY THING THAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER WOULD HAVE BEEN A SHORTER TIME FROM ORDER TO RECEIPT. ASSEMBLY WAS EASY. WE BOUGHT A COOP FOR AN 8 YEAR OLD, AND WAITING FOR HER COOP SEEMED TO HER TO GO ON FOREVER. OTHERWISE, FIRST RATE.

I'm just a city girl from NorCal and didn't know a thing about chicken coops! Thank goodness I picked Roost & Root's coop. It is easy to assemble (5 1/2 hour and 4 dudes helped to build it). The cedar smells sooo good! I have 7 chix and they fit just fine in the xl roundtop walk in coop. The coop is easy to clean, well ventilated and a beautiful coop to look at! I had to work with the folks at Roost & Root a few times and they are just really nice people trying to sell a solid product. The water pipe holds tons of water (but check in on hot days!!) and the feeder was ok, but my girls were able to scratch out the food. I put a super large metal feeder in there and I'm using the smaller feeder that came with the coop for grit, which is awesome! I have told so many people about our low maintenance coop. It's so much better than a coop with a box, as there isn't much to clean at all! I love this coop and my birds do too.

I've only purchased one item from R&R (so far), but I can tell you that I am more than happy with them. The quality of the coop is beyond any other online coop I've seen. The customer service before AND after the sale has been exceptional. I went to pick up my coop instead of getting it delivered. A friendly man directed me when I missed the pick up spot. Two other men, equally as friendly, loaded the pieces into my truck carefully. I even stopped and spoke to Dyan on my way out for a few minutes. I can't imagine many companies running a ship this tight while still being so approachable... especially during this COVID pandemic.

I had some initial shipping issues which weren’t the fault of Roost & Root but even during the issue, Dylan was in constant contact and did everything possible to iron out the problem, even going as far to putting a rush on a replacement order for parts not received. Their product isn’t cheap by any means but you get what you pay for, the quality is top-notch.

Beautifully built. Now if only 2 of our 3 chickens would start laying.... Thank you!

This company is great! I researched new coops for my chickens for a while, and purchased this one, even though it was a 2 month wait time (which I appreciate knowing up front!). I was kept informed of the order the entire time. When my order did arrive, one of the crates was missing and lost by the freight company. Dyan contacted me and started on a replacement coop ASAP. The freight company found the missing crate the same day as the replacement had arrived to them. I received my coop and assembled it - it was so easy to do; the instructions are detailed and the outcome is beautiful! My hens love it! Great product, even better customer service - this company is fantastic. Thank you!

After looking into "easy to assemble coops kits" that were cheaper all the reviews as well as feedback from friends let me to realize that I do not want to have to rebuild a coop every couple of years. This kit came exactly as ordered and I received plenty of notifications during the ordering/build process on status. All parts were in excellent condition and came with easy to follow instruction booklet that included a lot of detail to make the assembly even easier. The coop is holding up very well to the rough weather we've been having and has been everything we wanted for a new backyard coop!
