Thw problem is not being able to respond to people without paying. I understand you need to make money, so you should have a different level that you have to pay for more advantages, but not be able to respond to someone.

Recommendation for all new people! Do not buy the premium it’s literally a waste of money all you have to do is put your phone number in the listing to be able to message potential people to rent from or to message people you think you want to rent to. It’s how I was able to get a room myself!

I found a roommate for a family member though a friend. The site matched me up with a few people all of whom had a checkered past. I had to do the screening of each individual that contacted me. All and all for the price your site is adequate.

I like that I could post my room for free. But it seemed like there wasn’t much variety or maybe I did not understand how to use the site. But ultimately I found a roommate. Will see how things work out.

Those who are not verified can cause issues. I had more than one trying to obtain information not allowed and Roommates canceled one of them, so that was impressive.

I was matched with men. I wanted and needed females only. I sure appreciate that your services were free, however. Know that.

I’ve had no interests or emails back from those I contacted. There aren’t very many older females looking to rent on this site.

Hello, Finding the perfect roomie can be tough. We recommend the tips below to help you find the best roommate in the least amount of time: 1. Put as much detail into your profile as possible. This will make sure that the matches you receive are the most compatible. Also, don't forget pics! Profiles with good pictures tend to get more views and messages. 2. Use the "Search" option to find additional matches that are a little broader, but might be a good fit as well. 3. Message all of your matches! Getting in touch with as many good matches as possible is hands-down the best way to find a roomie quickly, as they will be notified whenever a message lands in their inbox. 4. Once you notice that you have some messages in your inbox, consider becoming a VIP member so you can unlock what potential matches are sending. If you have additional questions don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected]. Roommates.com Support Team
