Defective from day one, no refund, and an unsafe bike
I bought a Roll-Road Emma 3.0 in September 2025 and it has been defective from the start. Over more than nine months it has had abnormal braking and brake noise, a stripped front brake mounting thread, a persistent front-end wobble, a hydraulic brake fluid leak, and finally the display/power system died completely — the bike no longer turns on with both batteries fully charged. The instability caused me to fall and injure my knee.
Instead of arranging a repair, support (60+ emails) repeatedly asked me to diagnose faults, film videos, dismantle parts and install replacements myself. I am not a bike mechanic, and there is no authorised service centre in my state (Queensland). At times they blamed me for the faults ("improper operation", "not holding the handlebars firmly enough"). They refused a refund, relying on a 30-day return policy that their own website says applies "in the United States only."
I escalated to the Queensland Office of Fair Trading (ref C-2026-68788). Under Australian Consumer Law a product must be safe, durable and of acceptable quality — mine was none of these. I cannot recommend this bike or this company.

Beware of Roll-road ebikes (scam alert)
Edit: I got notified by trustpilot that roll-road replied to my review and was amazed of the story they came up with, which is just full of lies. This company is all lies. Also they never refunded me - I had to go through a credit card chargeback. If you are considering dealing with this company at least you are aware of the risks.
Long story short, beware of Roll-road. Here's how the scam works: they will ship a broken bike to you and will charge you (a lot of) fees for returning it, even though you did nothing wrong and that they're the ones at fault.
I purchased an Emma electric bike from Roll-road.com. The company sent me a broken bike, I'm talking completely wrecked, and with signs of use on top of that.
When I asked for a return for a refund or replacement they said I'll have to pay handlimg fees and roundtrip shipping of almost $500 in total. They kept saying that is their return policy. Seriously look it up in their site Although I kept saying the damage looks just way too bad, Roll-road tried to convince me to fix the bike, by myself first then at a local bike shop. Let me tell you, they have zero physical presence or customer service in the US. It's all based in China. They shipped me some replacement parts directly from China and I took the bike to a local shop who said quote: "it's unrepairable and unsafe. It's way too damaged, and even if you fix that it may one day get your whole home on fire". The bike shop also said the bike has significant signs of use. I already suspected that the bike has been used prior to the bike shop evaluation but roll road rejected my claims that it looks used. In general, they never address your concerns, ex: you email them about signs of use, they will reply that "they're so sorry for the damages". This is intentional. After I told them that the bikshop also said there are significant signs of use they came up with an excuse that all their bike are tested physically, BY RIDING on each and every single of them. I mean... Come on!
They will keep referring you to their return terms which state lots of fees for returning / exchanging technically to steal money from you. It's a scam. Also, don't be fooled by YouTube reviews, these are paid reviews and the reviewers are treated differently than how you will be. My recommendation - save yourself the headach and go look elsewhere.

Before you placed the order, we clearly informed you that this bike was a returned order from a previous customer. As a result, we gave you a $500 discount and told you that due to transportation back and forth, there might be scratches on the bike. However, the entire bike is still under a 2-year warranty. We agreed on a price with the condition that the bike would be picked up at the warehouse, but you were unable to pick it up. We then covered the $150 shipping fee and delivered it to your home for free.
After you received it, the downtube base of the batterty on the frame was damaged. We immediately arranged to send you a new base and installation tools, and we covered the shipping cost. We sent you a step-by-step installation video for the base, but you did not want to replace it yourself. We then offered to cover the repair cost and suggested you find a repair shop to replace it. The shop, from their perspective as sellers of their own bikes, would of course say that all outside brands are bad. We recommended that you bring the bike to our warehouse repair site to replace the part, and you could take the bike after the repair, but you refused.
After this, you requested a return and asked us to send you a brand new bike for free at the discounted price. We offered the option for you to return the bike to our warehouse and then pick up a new one yourself, but you refused again, therefore we had no choice but to cover the shipping costs to take the bike back and issue you a refund.
