I was very disappointed by this company today. I booked an appointment with someone for a consultation who never called me as scheduled. I was directed to make a follow up appointment on their website, which didn't work. However, you expect someone to spend a minimum of $200 for your service? Absolutely not.

Confused
Concerning business practices
I don't recall signing up for your service, I never received any service. I'm not sure why I'm getting this request.
Edit: Confirmed no email received containing rockmyresume.com at the email address the so brazenly shared to the public. And frankly, that they would share someone's email and name publicly cements the 1 star review.
I received a message from someone on LinkedIn who had no ties to this website listed, I assumed it was her side hustle to review resumes and then try to upsell editing services. This site seems to be a means to harvest data either to sell information to recruiters or to other advertising services. A major disappointment that trustpilot allows companies that would share private data on their site.
Edit 2: I requested they remove my email from their reply, they have thus far declined. Interestingly, the response was from an email attributed to Hue but signed by Kate. Either the company shares e-mail accounts, or is made of sockpuppets. Definitely not a group to do business with.
Edit 3: they finally removed my email from their reply, I still advise anyone from using this service, and would encourage people to think on why a service would have so many unprompted 5 star reviews from accounts with only the 1 review.

This is a scam. Blackmailed me
This is a scam. The resume was ai generated, inaccurate to my experiences, received negative feedback from everyone I shared it with (whether for purposes to refer me to my target jobs or recruiters I was working with) and the "resume writer" ghosted for a week. I left a review so they then tried to blackmail me into removing the review by threatening to withhold the final resume from me and stop working on it. Even though I paid extra for revisions. Because I told them I would naturally remove the review if they provided an acceptable resume that didn't get poor feedback from jobs, they refused to provide the resume and withheld the services I paid for.
Do not waste your money here.

Asked for 24 hour turnaround which was not met. The quality of the product was subpar and looked like poor rephrasing while lacking the impressive quantifying metrics I reached as a producer. It did not meet the demands of the executive level role I was seeking. Poor grammar in the cover letter as well which looked like a copy and paste of my poor grammar in the intake.
The response below is 100% false. The unemployment has been 2 months following my voluntarily resignation where discrimination was the cause and has been escalated to regulatory agencies upon my resignation. I have no other unemployment gap.
I have a text response from Rock My Resume citing they escalated for a refund internally but have to pause given I disputed to my credit card. So why internally try to refund me? Blatant lie.
A text to grab drinks was texted to the wrong recipient.
They absolutely did not grant me the 24 hour resume delivery which drove the request for service. Another lie from the CEO.
Multiple email exchanges have been ignored prior to me requesting a refund. CEO claims they tried to remedy as much as possible... another lie.
Please check Rock My Resume Linkedin page where you will see numerous international contractors as well as a "senior career coach" who states on his own linkedin that he works in operations for the firm, minimally mentioning career coaching as merely an after thought.

Thank you for your feedback, Sean. We believe some important context is missing and would like to clarify the situation for accuracy and transparency.
Sean was referred to us by a former client who had a positive experience and successful outcome. He reached out outside of normal business hours, requesting expedited delivery immediately on a Sunday. Prior to payment, we clearly communicated via email that the earliest possible delivery under our expedited service would be Sunday evening and that this was the best we could offer. The resume was delivered exactly within that agreed-upon timeframe.
Following delivery, communication escalated quickly and included unprofessional and demeaning language directed toward our staff, which made it difficult to engage in a productive discussion. The correspondence also included repeated threats of leaving a negative review unless a full refund was issued. Before our refunds team had the opportunity to review or respond, a charge dispute was initiated with the bank. At that point, we do not have any other option.
Additionally, during this engagement, Sean made inappropriate personal advances toward a female staff member, asking her to “get drinks,” which made her feel extremely uncomfortable and crossed all professional boundaries.
Despite this, our team continued to act professionally and made every reasonable effort to assist. It's a shame, that this rating does not reflect the amount of time, effort, and grace we devoted in assisting this client.
We understand that prolonged unemployment especially over a year, can fuel frustration towards others even those just trying their best to help and we empathize with Sean. Although we know Sean will not do the right thing and remove this inaccurate review, we still sincerely wish him the best moving forward.

unlegit company with very rude and unprofessional service
I rarely write reviews, but my terrible experience with Rock My Resume and its founder, Hue, compels me to share this so others can be aware.
First of all, this company has no physical address, no Google reviews, and the phone number they provided in the email turned out to be invalid. This alone made me question if they are even legit.
I reached out to a few recruiters from my target industry who provide resume editing and interview prep services. Hue from Rock My Resume unexpectedly reached out to pitch me a service proposal. She asked for my resume and sent me a link to schedule a 15-minute "free consultation." I booked it for the same day—but no one called me. When I tried to call back, it was an empty number. I rescheduled for the next day, and this time she finally called.
The first thing she asked was, "Do you have any questions?" I asked if she could point out issues with my resume and suggest which roles or industries I should target. She immediately shot back, saying, "This call is not to answer your questions; it’s just a service introduction call." (Then why even ask if I had questions?)
Fine—I was still willing to listen. She started pushing their $399 resume and cover letter service, so I asked about the background of their resume editor. Specifically, I wanted to know if the editor had industry experience because I’m looking for someone who really understands my field—not a generalist.
That’s when things got weird. She seemed stunned by my question and started giving me vague answers, saying the editor has five years of experience—in her company. I asked again, "Do they have industry experience?"—I just wanted a simple yes or no.
Suddenly, she got super defensive and started rambling about how they work with "all industries" and have "connections with senior managers everywhere." I asked her once more to simply answer my question, and she became even more agitated. At that point, I realized I was wasting my time, so I ended the call.
In my experience, Rock My Resume is unprofessional, evasive when asked straightforward questions, and raises a lot of red flags regarding legitimacy. If you’re looking for genuine industry expertise and transparent communication, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
I hope this helps others avoid a frustrating and time-wasting experience.
